OK, I stand corrected. Thanks for clarifying that.

Yeah it seems unnecessary, from NS I believe an expressway is actually planned. Perhaps the two highways could link up between Zrenjanin and Vršac and then head toward Timişoara to link up with the Romanian network.

I would like to see the motorway from E75 to Zaječar built and then to Vidin / Calafat and then on to București. Is there a motorway planned through southern Romania? This would probably be the most direct route from Beograd to București and on to Constanta.

I think at least one of them is "just" an expressway.

Bad_Hafen nice work with the map. I opens the discussion as to where motorways should and should not be built. For example is it confirmed that the Adriatic motorway will enter Herzegovina after Ploće? It seems odd to take that detour there and head that far inland. I know the geography is difficult for building nearer to the coast in that area but it seems that Dubrovnik could be better linked with a more coastal route, (but perhaps the terrain is too difficult). And then towards Montenegro with a huge bridge somewhere over Kotar Bay maintaining a near coastal route to Sozina tunnel and later to Albania. I think this would be better for Montenegrin tourism. Just my thoughts anyway ...

Thanks for clarifying. While for Serbia the most interesting would be the motorway through Vršac, linking Beograd and Romania, I believe instead that the expressway through Novi Sad would be the most interesting for Romanian drivers, especially for the ones who are living and working in Italy.

Well, unfortunately no. You can see here an awkward presentation made in paint by the Romanian Ministry of Transports and Infrastructure. For the moment there is no planned motorway in southern part of Romania.

No it's not confirmed! The Croatian A1 is still planned to be built towards Dubrovnik and there is no sign that Croatia will change those plans. The version from Neretva valley to Trebinje is just a proposal of "JP Autoceste FBiH" and there are no real plans for that. And given the limited funds in BiH and the lacking benefits for BiH I doubt that this plan will ever be real. In fact the plan of Croatian A1 is finished and building it can start anytime when the money is approved.

But the A1 will end near Dubrovnik and adriatic motorway will enter BiH near Osojnik and then continue over Trebinje towards Montenegro (Grahovo). The motoway will therefor be built north of Kotor bay (new road Tivat - Zabljak will serve as feeder road to Kotor bay) as signed in the map.

But most likely there will be an expressway built from Dubrovnik to its airport and from there to Herceg Novi and Tivat (and continuing to Bar and Ulcinj).

A little bit off topic - don't shoot me, please!

I got a parking fine when in Belgrade during the summer. Without making excuses (okay - I admit it - the parking system is totally useless if you aren't anywhere near a parking garage and need to park all day) - what now?

Obviously, I didn't pay the 1870RSD that they wanted for the fine - I was leaving the next day and thought that it was better to contribute the money to a better cause. But now - I'd like to go to Serbia again (the villages near the MNE border were very friendly places!) and spend some more money, but...not on parking fines

Does anyone know if there are likely to be any consequences for not paying the fine? The correct registration number and country was printed on the fine.
