How does it differ to selling telecommunications network or electricity network to Germans? If we have to sell it to someone then at least be it someone who isn't as politically motivated, at least not regarding Serbia as such. Control over EE states is a wet dream of only one among China and Germany, but yeah let's not go off topic.

I don't have any such data and I doubt there will be because streets are congested due to the lack of metro but it will surely be much faster.

As for the real estate, due to the crisis only a handful of apartments sell in Belgrade each month. So I don't think there will be a boom in Borča, especially since it's quite rural and the real estate over there isn't very desirable, but I do expect the prices to go up. Perhaps we could see some Danube waterfront development, that would be really nice (although the mayor mentioned he wants an industrial zone there on the Danube waterfront around the bridge which wouldn't be much different from the most of the riverfronts in Belgrade though, complete disrespect and lack of interest for those zones that mostly look like scrapyards).

I've just looked up apartments in Borča and the current average asking price is 1000 e/sqm but down to even 500 for some huge apartments or houses.

GREATLY DELAYED WORK ON THE SECTION OF PIROT - SUKOVO

Although, now former, agent contractor Corridor 10 through Pirot and Dimitrovgrad municipality, Austrian Alpine, Predrag Topalović in May of this year said for PN, that section Pirot East - Sukovo a length of six kilometers to be completed by the end of 2012., Now the PC "Corridors of Serbia" report that the delay in the works and that the expected date for completion of this section until the "end of summer 2013th year. " From this enterprise for PN reports as well the delay in work on the section Sukovo-Dimitrovgrad.

- The section Pirot (East) - Sukovo works with asphalt pavement in substantial delays, as well as works on cement stabilization, while most of the construction is largely complete. On this, as on the section Sukovo - Dimitrovgrad were recorded delays in project construction Corridor 10 Estimated date of completion of works for the section Sukovo - Dimitrovgrad and Dimitrovgrad bypass is the end of next year. Due to poor organization of work by the Alpine and unrealistically low contract price, the contractor has failed to reach the projected level dynamics of which resulted in delaying the implementation of the project. Due to the excess of deadlines Corridors of Serbia are considering charging " penalties ", and in this direction are intensive negotiations in order to find an adequate solution. Regarding Dimitrovgrad bypass financed by loans from the World Bank on Lot 2 (bridge) main works are in large part completed. On the Dimitrovgrad bypass Lot 3 slope stability problem is aggravated by the project. However, there has been much work on solving this technical problem. In this section of the contractor's company "Terna" from Athens, and the deadline for completion on 17 October 2013. was - communicated from Corridor Serbia.

Otherwise, work on the section from Pirot to Dimitrovgrad total length of 14.3 kilometers, Alpina has started on 24th November 2010. year and has pledged to complete them for 540 days, and in May 2012. a 14 April of the same year that the Dimitrovgrad bypass be built for 720 days, which is supposed to be in April this year.

However, the leaders of the Austrian company last year announced that it will exceed the deadline. As stated, the problem with the expropriation of land from the start were delayed four to five months, and one of the reasons for the delay was the discovery of a Roman road Via Militaris, which is why they have lost a few more months. PN unofficially find out how the work was slowed down in recent months and the issues with the expropriation of land around electric poles.

On the other hand, when it comes to shares of Ciflik to Pirot, the projects are completed and received the consent of the financiers - the European Investment Bank (EIB). The beginning of this section is expected to be "the next construction season," and in the course of the tender procedure for the contractor for a parallel, non-commercial way.

In the end, the Serbian Corridor "noted" what was known before starting work - the "building the E80 is extremely demanding and complex task which requires a number of excavations and tunnels along the route, due to the fact that it is a mountainous area and that road construction includes construction of 46 bridges, 20 overpasses, tunnels 5 and 5 loop ".

Alpina obliged to repair the damage

As a result of the construction of Corridor 10 and the passage of trucks and heavy machinery, caused significant damage to local roads in all Pirot municipalities except Babušnica, and this issue was discussed at the extraordinary meeting of the Pirot District. Also, the mayors of Pirot and Dimitrovgrad the middle of last month, met with representatives of the Serbian Corridor in order to overcome this problem. A particular problem for the municipality of Pirot and an uncontrolled destruction of the upper course of the river Nišava, where the Alpine exploited for gravel. In relation to this issue, the Corridor Serbia say they are in accordance with the contract all contractors required that if there is damage of the road or the river of the same cause in the original condition.

- Corridors of Serbia are actively involved and monitor the implementation of this undertaking.

For example, section Pirot (East) - Dimitrovgrad early last year, the company "Alpina" without the approval of the supervisory authority has been working in the area of the upper course of the river Nisava. After the intervention, these works have been suspended from duty contractor for repair as soon as possible - said in a statement.

Looks like that last incomplete patch of Novi Sad bypass is nearing completion, with only cosmetic work left to be carried out before opening:

Sarajevo, Zenica and Banja Luka will be connected. SA-ZE is almost finished, BL-Doboj is UC and DO-ZE status is unknown, but it is priority.

While this space between New Year's, Orthodox Christmas and Serbian New Year is somewhat of a lazy period for many Serbians...there's no rest for our Chinese friends, who are busy completing Belgrade's newest Danube crossing:

Quote:
Zemun-Borca bridge to be completed in October 2014

Belgrade, 10 Jan 2013 – Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that the bridge over the Danube between Zemun and Borca in Belgrade along with 21.5 km access roads built by the Chinese company CRBC with local firms will be completed by the end of October 2014.

Accompanied by Minister of Transport Milutin Mrkonjic and Belgrade City Assembly Speaker Aleksandar Antic, Dacic said that he is very pleased with the dynamics of the bridge construction and added that Chinese contractors are commended by the line ministry.

He pointed out that this is a very important project for further cooperation with Chinese partners in the implementation of infrastructure projects, and that the project of Zemun-Borca bridge construction and revitalisation of Kostolac thermal plant are pioneering projects that will pave the way for further involvement of Chinese companies in Serbia.

The Prime Minister said that CRBC is interested in participating in the construction of the motorway to Montenegro.

Dacic praised the domestic companies that have started construction of the access roads to the Zemun-Borca bridge and pointed out that the bridge and access roads will contribute significantly to the development of this part of Belgrade.

He said that China is an important strategic partner of Serbia and that our country wants to further develop friendly relations with that country which will set aside certain funds also for projects in Serbia.

The works on the Zemun-Borca bridge began in late October 2011. Thirty of the planned 24 pillars have been installed so far.

This is the first traffic infrastructure project that provides a basis for agreement on technical cooperation in the field of infrastructure, which was signed between the governments of Serbia and China in April 2010.

Is the new "Zezelj" bridge gonna resemble the design of an old one?

Bratko, there are so huge and serious delays on all stretches on both wings of CX in Serbia, and that's anything to say on this matter.
Nothing will be opened on time. Not even close.
In Serbia we are both angry and dissapointed.
