there are 6 sections (according to koridori srbije website)

I don't know the exact percentage, but the first section to be opened is the second one (crvena reka - ciflik 12.7km) and it is expected to be opened by autumn 2014,

if we are lucky (i mean very lucky) maybe the first section (prosek-crvena reka 22.5km with bancarevo tunnel) will be opened by the end of 2014.

Minister of Traffic said that currently there are works in all directions on Corridor 10 , both the eastern branch to Bulgaria and the southern branch to Greece . Antic said that the budget of the Ministry of Traffic is about 25 billion RSD, of which the largest part is provided to the grant for the " Railways " .

According to him, the rest of the funds are for the completion of the "Chinese Bridge "( between Zemun and Borca), which will also be finalized in 2014, as well as the section of the road Ub - Lajkovac and similar projects financed by the Ministry. Antic said that the Chinese loan will be used for financing in the construction of a highway from Belgrade to Cacak, the two sections - from Obrenovac to Ub and from Ljig to Lajkovac.

Minister of Traffic said that there are also ongoing negotiations in the field of railways, and that it is mostly likely to start the modernization of the existing railway from Belgrade to Budapest. He said that the Chinese side is committed to support the implementation of the project , which is a regional one , as it is connecting the two countries and considering that the Hungarians are also interested. Works could begin in 2015 and it will take several years , approximately three years to complete the entire project , said Antic.
Speaking of flights by "Air Serbia " and a strategic partnership with " Etihad ", Antic has announced additional lines and additional aircrafts from the New Year.

Antic has also announced that from the beginning of the summer timetable on 30 March "Air Serbia " will fly to all planned destinations and achieve full employment of the fleet.

- The new planes are continually arriving - said Minister of Traffic.

- It is intended to implement this project in a reasonable time, as this road is of great importance for Serbia and Vojvodina, through large investments and therefore we need to have a completed project documentation, which was earlier not the case - said Mirović.

He added that this is the most important investment for the ministry, with the construction of Morava corridor and highway from Kragujevac to Corridor 10.

Prime Minister of Vojvodina Bojan Pajtic said that the provincial government has defined that this highway should be part of the highway to the border of Romania, which will provide connection between Banat and southern Backa and Srem with Belgrade- Zagreb highway and it will create an investment climate that exists in Srem along Corridor 10.

He added that this project is very important to attract investment. Pajtić explained that there will be formed a working group for the project preparation and a working group for the preparation of work contracts.

The end of 2014 for Prosek-Crvena Reka sounds Sci-Fi to me. Not to mention that Bancarevo tunnel seems to progress quite delayed.

my childish optimism was based on the fact that I always use the existing e-80 road from prosek to crvena reka so I could not have seen the construction site and the googlemaps image is quite out-of-date...
seeing your photo reports it is clear that it is almost impossible for the section to be completed by the end of 2014.

You are wrong about the tunnel. First tube should be driven in next 15-20 days. Problems are with the sections before and after tunnel.

can you find the original deadline dates for Bancarevo tunnel then? I can't dig any info at the moment, but Im absolutely convinced there was quite a delay and there was official prolongation period approved by creditors.

By the way, seems like we missed this few pics of Bancarevo tunnel works done on 16th of December 2013

The contractor Subterra A.S. has been introduced to the works on March 15th, 2012. The deadline for the completion of works is 720 days.

so according to the koridori srbije website the original deadline was march 2014.
during political media sessions from last month, heads of the company and some politicians were announcing that it will be completed in the third quarter of 2014.

so, and speaking as non-professional in this field, works on digging the first tube officially started on 18th of October 2012 (source link). While I'm not sure if works on second tube progress simultainously, according to nixazmaj the first tube will be driven (but not finished) around 1st of February 2014. That makes rough 15 months per tube only to be pierced, although that seems like the hardest part of the job.

Now only if Subterra was working paralelly on the second tube the same tempo as on this first one, we could expect them finishing piercing both tubes in the first quarter of 2014. If anyone knows what's usual percentage of time needed to actually form a motorway standards tunnel after its both tubes are pierced, comparing to initial hill-digging period, we could give rough estimation. Also I guess we need to know what kind of methods are used by Subterra, as that could indicate that maybe they "do the tunnel" as they dig, as it was suggested on opening digging works (mentioning so called "Austrian method" of tunnel construction).

No matter what, I'm quite sceptic that motorway getting to and from the tunnel will be ready for opening in at least less than a full year from now.
