Belgrade is the industrial center of Serbia,and it's the city where all transit traffic goes trought.Also big number of locals are using the bypass,because it's free.

Belgrade (almost) doesn't produce anything, it only consume. Most of Belgrade economy are services, banks, goverment institutions, importers, etc.

What is important, Belgrads traffic goes through Belgrad inner motorway, through bypass goes transit which is not so huge that justify the construction of 2x3 profile.

AKH, do you think it makes sense to build that motorway between Nis and Kosovo? To me it seems like that should not be the biggest priority because there are more important projects in the country.

Wow tnx for your guidance and that you enlighten me yet again Btw did you ever heard about Avala and locals there? Check out map if you missed it

Now more serious stuff. As I know bypass has now traffic around 40k (please correct me if i'm wrong). There is plan that bypass will connect Pančevo in the future (which will go towards Romania) and later also with A2 which goes to MN. I doubt that 2x3 profile won't justify higher traffic then

I drive there few times every year towards Obrenovac or Ćaćak so I know very well how it looks like. Trust me, there is not enough traffic for 2x3 profil and I suppose that never be.

I think it makes sense because it's a relatively busy road and one of the main roads in worst condition in Serbia. They should upgrade it and build a bypass around Prokuplje, which is plagued by traffic jams.

You didn't answer me on most important question/remark. Does bypass have traffic around 40k? If it does then is better that they build 6 lane bypass since traffic will be coming from 5 directions (Croatia, MN, Hungary, Romania, Macedonia).

Ask some Serbian. I have no any official data, but for cca. 40k of AADT (Annual Average Daily Traffic) there would be permanent jam, because 1x2 profile road (as now) can not manage such a traffic. I think there is cca. 15k AADT.
In inner Belgrade`s motorway there is possible AADT of cca. 40-60k.

Two days ago Turkish truck driver killed 4 young people in a car at a Belgrade bypass-he fell asleep. This road would be more safer when lanes would be divided, at least 2+2. Currently bypass is crowded by trucks in transit, since they are forbidden to go through Belgrade.

In inner Belgrade`s motorway there is possible AADT of cca. 40-60k.

You are absolutely right, there should be 2x2 profile. But there are no needed third lines. Now road looks crowded because is 1x2, after upgrade to 2x2 it will looks motorway towards Niś, many trucks and other vehicles but not crowded for sure.

I think is written in the first link since there is mentioned also Bubanj Potok. AADT there is between 47k and 32k...

The traffic volume on Gazela Bridge is 146,500 vehicles per day. The Beograd bypass carries up to 10,800 vehicles per day.
