What does state roads exactly mean? Are these normal 1x1 magjistrale that they used to be called in Yugoslavia? How are they planning to enforce this?

State roads are usually 1x1,but some of them are 2x2.

Very unfair to charge vignette on 1x1.... motorways are understandable proving they are in good shape.

Serbian side got a good kick in the ass today by the relevant EU authorities concerning the extremeley prolonged construction of Zezelj road & rail bridge in Novi Sad, which the EU is partially funding (~28 million euros or little more than half the total cost).



Meanwhile, some nice aerial footage of Novi Sad's Liberty bridge:

Province provides funds for construction of Zezelj bridge

At the meeting of the working group for the bridge construction held at the Provincial government offices, an interest to continue the construction as soon as possible was shown, it was announced.

It was added that continuation of the construction of the Zezelj bridge was agreed with the agreement of the PC Zeleznice Srbije as an investor and the Spanish company Azvi as a contractor.

In order to provide funds planned for this year within the provincial budget, the working group agreed that in the next three days, the Fund for capital investments of Vojvodina, through which province is financing continuation of bridge construction, is provided with essential documentation based on which the agreement between an investor and a contractor was signed.

After the documentation analysis, options will be created for signing an annex to the basic contract on construction of the Zezelj bridge, it was announced.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Provincial government, Fund for capital investments of Vojvodina, Ministry of construction, traffic and infrastructure, Zeleznice Srbije, Cibridge in consortium with Italian Taddei and Spanish Horta Coslada.

there is no opposition in Serbia and no oppositional media.
