Here is what is planned. Red is the expressway coming from the interchange with the A3 at Ruma, blue is a major street. Green is the extent of the separate lanes. The A1 is to be a closed-tolled motorway, so this doubling will allow local traffic to skip the tollbooths.

Tuesday, 04/14/2015|14:40 | Source: Beta

This year, construction of another bridge across the Sava will start in Belgrade, state secretary at the ministry of traffic of Serbia, Miodrag Poledica, announced.

He said for Beta that apart from the existing bridge at the roundabout in Belgrade at Ostruznica, another bridge will be constructed. The tender will be released in May.

- New bridge at Ostruznica will be funded from savings of the EBRD loan totaling EUR 30 m. -The works are expected to begin during this construction season -Poledica said.

With the bridge completion, he outlined, at the roundabout at Belgrade, there will be full profile of highway with six lanes from Batajnicka petlja to Ostruznica.

According to him, a preliminary design for the railway-road roundabout from Bubanj potok to Pancevo , with another bridge across the Danube, at Vinca.

It is plan that in Serbia in 2015 and early next year, 150 km of highway is completed, Poledica said.

Four more lanes for the old Sava Bridge

Wednesday, 04/08/2015|13:45 | Source: Mondo

]The existing tram bridge on the Sava in Belgrade, known as the Sava Bridge, is to have two more lanes on either side. This will will actually give Belgrade another bridge on the Sava, announced Aleksandar Vučić.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić pointed out that besides this, the Belgrade Waterfront project has revived the idea of a tunnel connecting the Sava and Danube amphitheatres between Kamenička and Francuska streets, as planned in the nineteen-seventies.

can the existing Bridge support 3 lanes? I know it has a shoulder on both sides but wouldn't that be a bit narrow?

I don't get it, are they going to add lanes on the sides like Pančevački bridge has it or will they build a new one right next to it?
It looks quite narrow on streetview

The figure of 'six lanes' probably includes the shoulder, which means four driving lanes.

Bad journalism. It will not be a new bridge at Ostružnica (part of the Belgrade bypass), but another deck will be added to the existing piers, as planned from the start.

Construction of three new bridges in Belgrade

Quote:
Monday, 04/20/2015|11:13 | Source: RTS

The Ministry of construction, traffic and infrastructure announced that at the bypass around Belgrade, two bridges more will be built, at the Sava at Ostruznica and at the Danube at Vinca as well as another bridge across the Sava for Corridor 11 at Obrenovac.
The construction of the bridge across the Sava at Ostruznica will by the end of the year within the second lane of the highway at bypass, the state secretary said at the ministry, Dejan Trifunovic, adding that tender for the bridge will be released in May, Tanjug reports.

- In the next period, we can expect three new bridges – Trifunovic outlined, adding that the bridge at Ostruznica will be built first which will be funded through savings from the loan of the European Investment Bank totaling EUR 30 m.

The bridge at the Sava at Obrenovac will be built within the planned concession at Corridor 11 so that it would connect the first section of the Surcin-Obrenovac highway- Trifunovic said.

Speaking about the bypass around Belgrade, he said that within the first stage of the bypass, the second lane of the highway from Ostruznica to Bubanj potok should be completed, 24 km long and that a total of EUR 200 m is necessary.

The second stage of a bypass which comprises construction of the Bubanj potok-Vinca and Pancevo highway construction, 31 km long, is planned together with railroad-road bridge across the Danube and according to the first estimations, the works will total EUR 470 m.

For the completion of the first stage and implementation of the second one, according to Trifunovic, Memorandum with Chinese company "Sinohydro" was signed which should deliver the offer for that investment by the end of the month.

Trifunovic expects that projects at bypass around Belgrade which is a part of Corridor 10 could be implemented in the next two years.

The second stage of the bypass construction around Belgrade is also important for the implementation of the Belgrade on water project and functioning of the main railway station Belgrade center in Prokop, Trifunovic added.

Batajnica knot which is a part of the bypass should be completed by May 1 this year and the second lane of the highway from Dobanovci to Ostruznica by June 1.

So this means it will be more and more motorway from Leskovac to the Macedonian border. Do anyone knows when the last part is open?

A 9 km section hasn't even been tendered out yet, so it will take at least 3-4 more years.

black: done
blue: this year
magenta: 2016
red: 2017
green: unknown

There's new imagery again of Beograd dated 24 March 2015. So far it's only in Google Earth and not yet in Google Maps.

It's a fairly small area, starting just west of the Pančevo Bridge and ends halfway at the airport.

Why is the Pirot-Dimitrovgrad part going to be ready in December instead of September?
