Large infrastructure projects in Berlin and then in Vienna proposed by the prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic, became a part of large European transport network, the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure and VP at the Government of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, says.

In the interview published at daily Dnevnik, she said that it provides us with the new opportunity, as she said, which we should not miss.

- We will do everything so that Serbia gets a large portion of the investment project – Mihajlovic outlined adding that the objective is to hire local companies which comply with international standards on large infrastructure projects.

When commenting announcement from EU that in the next 15 years, in the region of the West Balkans, investments totaling seven billion euros will be implemented and that thanks to these investment projects where Serbia will participate, 200.000 new vacancies will open, VP of the Government said that Serbia is an inevitable part in SEE.

Speaking about Fruska gora corridor which should connect Corridor 10 and Corridor 4 and be the shortest connection between Bosnia and Romania, Mihajlovic said that the first tenders and the construction start can be expected in mid-2016.

It seems that those electronic signs misses the road signs pictures like in other countries. For example, speed limit sign, or work ahead, accident etc. But itis a good idea to put them if they give useful information.

-This is the only section in Serbia which will be built within deadline and I expect it to be completed even earlier – Djurovic said to journalists and announced that one highway lane of the Ljig-Preljine highway will be put into operation for traffic by the end of the year.
I guess he announced that one carriageway with 2 lanes - 1 lane per direction - should be opened by the end of 2015. The three sections b/n Ljig and Preljine have a total length of about 40km.
92% of A2 b/n Ljig - Preljina will be completed by the end of 2015, see press release (17th September 2015).

I used Google Translate, so I'm not sure about the rest of the press release. I think it's announced that the 1st carriageway of b/n Ljig - Preljina will be opened by the end of 2015 or in early 2016. Correct?

Is it still planned to open the 2nd carriageway of b/n Ljig - Preljina in August 2016?

A2: Ljig – Boljkovci 10.7km (2012 to Late 2015) [1st c/w] – projectmap
A2: Boljkovci – Takovo 12.6km (2012 to Late 2015) [1st c/w] – projectmap
A2: Takovo – Preljina 17.1km (2012 to Late 2015) [1st c/w] – projectmap
A2: Ljig – Boljkovci 10.7km (2012 to August 2016) [2nd c/w] – projectmap
A2: Boljkovci – Takovo 12.6km (2012 to August 2016) [2nd c/w] – projectmap
A2: Takovo – Preljina 17.1km (2012 to August 2016) [2nd c/w] – projectmap

About the opening of the 1st carriageway: Is it planned to opened all sections at once? Any info?

Obrenovac – Lijg is announced to be opened in 2017. Is there any info about the remaining A2 sections Belgrade – Obrenovac, Preljina - Pozega/Boljare? Any announced date of construction begin or completion?

I know, there's not much official info but is it still likely that the following A1 sections could be opened for traffic this year (especially Prevalac- Donji Neradovac, is there any updated opening date)?

A1: Prevalac – Donji Neradovac 16.2km (April 2012 to September 2015) – projectmap
A1: Grabovnica – Grdelica 5.6km (June 2012 to November 2015) – projectmap
A1: Vladicin han – Prevalac 10.1km (April 2012 to November 2015) – projectmap
A1: Dobanovci – west of Ostruznica bridge 10.1km (May 2014 to Fall 2015) [2nd c/w] – projectmap

Novi Sad's road & rail Zezelj bridge is progressing rather well....upon completion (mid to late 2017) it will become the first major piece of the future Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway, financed & built by Chinese.

Access road to Pupin Bridge opened to traffic
Sunday, 10/04/2015|15:35 | Source: Tanjug

An access road to Mihailo Pupin Bridge was opened to traffic on Saturday (3 October 2015) by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic, Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali and Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Serbia Lee Manchang, while the red ribbon was cut in the presence of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
This access road to Pupin Bridge stretches for 7.6 kilometers, from Zrenjaninski put Road to Ovca.
Minister Mihajlovic announced earlier that the remaining section of the access road from Ovca to Pancevacki put Road would be finished by the year's end, when the whole project to build Pupin Bridge with all access roads 21 kilometers long will be completed.
This investment totals USD 44 million.
Let us remind that the bridge between Zemun and Borca was opened to traffic in December 2014.

The English version has also been updated: http://koridorisrbije.rs/en/project-south.

It seems that the construction of the last section began or will begin soon:

EIB interested in construction of Nis-Pristina highway
Wednesday, 10/07/2015|15:10 | Source: Beta
sr de
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is interested in participating in regional projects which Serbia initiated with neighboringcountries, first of all in construction of the Nis-Pristina highway, VP of EIB, Dario Scannapieco confirmed in his talks with the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic.

Scannapieco outlined the Feasibility Study for the future Nis-Pristina highway with the connection to the Adriatic Sea coast as well as regional railway through Sarajevo, should show economic justification which would result in EIB being more clear, the Ministry of construction, traffic and infrastructure announced.

At the meeting they agreed that EIB investment funds become more active in Serbia when it comes to initiating mutual projects. It was estimated that expropriation of land along the Corridor 10 is 95% over which is a basic pre-condition to implement loans of the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the highway construction.
EIB provided Serbia five loans for Corridor 10 totaling EUR 759 and a loan of EUR 100 m for rehabilitation and roads safety.
