Are you 5 years old and therefore have no understanding of the world?

Road projects in any country are crucial to both the country's economy and for the region. It's hardly a waste of money.

It's not only roads. It's the whole package which is important.
Good transport system is needed for the people in the city and get get workforce to the city.
For stores and factories to work you need also good road network to get the goods at the places needed.
Do not forget. A railroad system is very expensive to build. A short term solution is building roads for the development of the economy to generate money. Without money you cannot start expensive long term investments. That's what Istanbul did with building the Metrobus system in the central reservation of the ring road. Traffic on the ring road decreased. Now the city is investing in different railroad systems to alleviate the pressure on the Metrobus. The Metrobus is now overcrowded and suffering from its own success.

In general terms, you have a valid point - but in the specific case of Belgrade as a metropolitan area, the balance of investment in road related projects relative to public transport is just completely skewed in favour of roads. Witness the Ada Bridge - for the huge cost of what is a highly underutilised asset, an entire metro line could have been built which is what this city really needs. I actually live here, not in Toronto on the other side of the world as you do, so I'm speaking from experience.

Is that the last section on the Niš - Dimitrovgrad motorway to be awarded? Meaning that now all sections are officially under construction?

At least everything is under construction now and spring 2017 is an actual realistic date for the completion of the entire A4 motorway.

I think you mean end of 2018 In Bulgaria they didn't finish Sandanski - Kulata! And they were late with 2 years! Absolutely flawless!!! I can't see them finishing everything! Quality with which Trace works in Bulgaria is not good, but with these dates you give them they will give some quality. They're in other country, not Bulgaria At least will be faster to travel to Belgrade even with partially opened sections.

There will be no toll rate increase this year

Quote:
Wednesday, 05/18/2016|13:35 | Source: Radio 021

Acting head at Putevi Srbije, Zoran Drobnjak, said that by the end of the year toll rates will not increase.

Drobnjak said for TV "Pink" that by the end of the year Belgrade-Nis highway should be covered by cameras. Drobnjak said for TV "Pink" that funds for this have not yet been secured but that he hopes to find it.

The reasons for placing a highway between the Serbian capital and Nis under video surveillance is, as he said, primarily because of security, as well as for insight into performance of traffic, as well as the condition of the roads for the needs of winter service.

In January, the Supervisory Board delivered the proposal to the Government, but their requests were, fortunately declined.

Regarding toll stations, how can I get an ENC electronic card to pass the stations faster? Do you need to reside in Serbia to have that?
