I'm not sure. It could be a remnant of the removed ramp for west-to-north, or a provision for the future.

I don't understand why there are so many road investments in Belgrade.... its almost like the rest of servia doesnt exist.... Roads in towns and smaller cities (especially in southern parts of Serbia on the borders with Republic of Kosovo) are completely opposite to the investment that has happenned further north... Why is Serbia neglecting towns like Kushumlija for example?

Motoways are built where there is enough traffic to warrant it.

Its not just motorways..... the whole infrastructure in Serbia outside Belgrade just looks very third world in comparison.

It's patchy. Regional road maintenance companies are to blame.

Or if you wanna develop remote regions. For instance, as it happened in eastern Germany two decades ago.

Of course, it always depends if funding is available. Germany has invested a lot in the east but didn't renewed the existing road network in the west and in the south. Today, we have many substandard roads, especially bridges, which must be totally renewed instead of just being renovated. There are a lot of construction sites and congestions now. Meanwhile, the same problem begins in the east. Roads and bridges have to be maintained there to avoid getting totally worn.

I think you need investment in Belgrade region and in remote regions. And looking at the current projects... A1, A2, A4... I think Serbia is doing this! Minimum, there is a masterplan for motorways/expressways with clear priorities...

The traffic on the A4, for example, doesn't warrant a full motorway. But it's still being built. But some routes are really too expensive for a motorway, like the proposed motorway through the eastern Serbia.

With finished A1, A2 (to Požega), A3, A4, and A5, there will be many towns close to a motorway that need development.

Love following this thread. Visited Serbia during three weeks in summer 2012, mostly around Cacak (Gornji Milanovac, Uzice, Guca, Zlatibor, Mokra Gora) and a detour to Novi Sad, so I have first hand experience driving on the road 22 for example. Hope to go back during spring 2018! Guess the trip between Belgrade and Cacak will be a bit different then!

Actually, the roads in Šumadija and Western Serbia are better compared to the rest of the coutry (incl. Belgrade). On the other hand, region around Kuršumlija has by far the worst roads in Serbia.

I think its still strange why Google Maps doesnt Update and input the new Highway-part of the A4 from Pirot-Nord to the Bulgarian Border.

TomTom for example has already updated this highway part.

Does anybody know how i can make a bit fire under the ass for Google Maps that they Update this highway-part?

Hmm, what does this mean now for our everyday life?

From now on just Google Maps itself edits the road parts?

So the thing we just can do is now to wait until Google Maps does anything?

I suggest to ban @grykaerugoves, who introduces in this thread continuous and unnecessary confusion and chaos, having a political background and resulting from innate hostility to Serbia

OpenStreetMap is always a lot quicker when it comes to new openings.
The map does have a worse colorscheme compared to Google Maps imo, but practicality>looks.

I am just stating my opinions based on my observations of Serbia..... why would you want people banned for voicing opinions that you may not agree with? Is that just you or is it a Serbian thing?
