I think the route is planned from București to Timişoara then to Beograd. There are two new bridges over the Danube planned for the Beograd area.

At this very moment, about ~100 kilometers of motorway are under construction in northern Serbia, between Novi Sad and Horgos/border with Hungary. Sometime within the next few months, construction will start on a number of other sections. You can find more info if you go back a few pages.

Macedonian, Serbian sections of Corridor 10 to be complete by ~2013

Quote:
Corridor 10 is a chance for economic development of entire region

Belgrade, 2 June 2010 – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic and Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Pesevski agreed at today’s meeting in Skopje that the completion of Corridor 10 is a chance for the entire region.

Dinkic, who is on a working visit to Macedonia, said that this important international corridor will be finished in the next few years. He underlined that Serbia’s experience has shown that in the conditions of the world economic crisis, the biggest industries from Western and Central Europe are moving to places along Corridor 10.

This is why completion of Corridor 10 in Serbia and Macedonia will not only be of importance for the development of transport, but for the development of industry and arrival of foreign investors as well.

He underlined that it is important that both countries intensify works on the completion of Corridor 10. The works which Serbia has already started will have been finished in Vojvodina by May next year, while the section from Leskovac to the Macedonian border will be completed by 2012.

Pesevski confirmed that works on this Corridor in Macedonia will have been completed by the end of 2013 and thus, Thessaloniki and Hungary will be connected via motorway. This will allow for the transport of goods from the Middle East to Europe to be accelerated by as much as two weeks.

Dinkic and Pesevski reached an agreement to abolish all non-customs barriers related to complicated procedures at border crossings so that trade between the two countries could develop faster.

130 km is a very good result if you consider no EU funds.

yesterday I crossed next to Dimitrovgrad ring-road motorway construction sites and tunnels that connect its sections. No activity at all! They officially opened these construction works a month ago or so, but as expected, it was just for the cameras. No machines, no workers, and no progress at all since I've been lurking there some 50 days ago.
I think Alpina won on this tender, right? (Alpina - notorious for prolonging whatever they start working, like the new Beshka bridge)

Alpina is really notorious, I hope they will build nothing else in Serbia.

Some good news...

Infrastructure ministry: EIB to fund Belgrade's ring road construction
June 08, 2010

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has confirmed to infrastructure minister Milutin Mrkonjic its readiness to extend EUR 120mn for the construction of a 12.5-kilometer stretch of Belgrade's ring road, Tanjug news agency has reported, citing a statement of the infrastructure ministry.
That would be Sectors 5 & 6 on this map - Orlovaca-Bubanj Potok:

Also, start of construction of the so-called Banat magistral road is said to be "imminent" (although, in Serbia, this can mean anything - from tomorrow to 50 years from now ) . It will run from the border with Romania, through the cities of Zrenjanin, Novi Sad and Ruma - where it will connect with Belgrade-Zagreb motorway. The most expensive single piece of infrastructure is expected to be a road tunnel through the Fruska Gora National Park - the length of which is expected to be either 1,200 or 2,800 meters, depending on variant that will be chosen.

There's a neat animation of this road - it starts at 3'05'':

Excellent news! This road would be very convenient for me and many other when going to Greece or Montenegro.

I see that this road is 4-laned in the video. Will it be full motorway? And where will it meet the border - at Srpska Crnja/Jimbolia or somewhere else?

I'm pretty sure it'll be 4-laned. It will cross the border at Medja - http://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meda,_Banatul_Central

So great part of Banatska Magistrala will be 'pol-autoput', does it mean that there will be reserve for secod carriageway just like on E-75 Novi Sad-Horgos ?

Pol-Autoput = half profile. I hope they can eventually widen it to 2x2 just as fast as Novi Sad - Horgos

Poluautoput, or half-motorway was invented by the Germans, who were decided that the traffic volume between Koenigsberg (now Kalinigrad, RUS) and Elbing (now Elblag, PL) was too small to build 2+2. So they build 2+0, but all overpasses, underpasses, bridges and viaducts were built 2+2.

Panoramio, author magnus58, Reichsautobahn Berlin-Koenigsberg (Berlinka) as half-motorway near Stargard (Stargard Sczeczinski, PL).
