I've seen an orange/yellow flag.
However on August 24th in the afternoon, in most cases there was no one to control traffic like that, although the sings remained.

Can you please post a map of some sort?
Unfortunately, there's a real lack of good maps when it comes to this "Corridor 11". I found only this one of Vrsac bypass, don't know how helpful it is:

As you probably know, there was one such bridge over the Mississippi River in Louisiana: http://www.johnweeks.com/river_missi...s/lmiss14.html
This site says the bridge was opened in 1995, but... when I drove the riverside road in 1988, the main span was in place, and there were no approaches and no effort underway to build them.
And here I thought that things such as "forgotten bridges" can happen only in Serbia I believe I've actually heard of this Louisiana bridge.

As for the Obrenovac bridge, construction started in 1994 but stopped for some reason in 1997.

That happens everywhere, even in rich Western European countries.

Helpful enough, thanks. I see it's in fact a bypass, not an entire ringroad.

Yeah, the article I posted incorrectly refers to a "ring road".

Btw, speaking of bridges, here's a previously unseen video of Novi Sad's combined road-rail Zezelj bridge, reconstruction of which is expected to begin within the next couple of months, at a cost of ~60 million euros.

With its reconstruction, Novi Sad's famous Danube cityscape will be restored:

...
This could be due to:
- the fact that any future planned motorway between Beograd and Vrsac towards Timisoara, could be parallel with the M19 road, directions south-west towards north;
- the eastern part of Vrsac which is a hilly area (400 - 500 m height).

So, in my opinion, the possible ring road around Vrsac's not justified at this moment.
But, anyway, if it would be planned, then the cost would be very high in comparison with the current route shown on the map by CrazySerb.

Looks like rumors are true - its just been confirmed in media that Austria's firm Strabag has got the job of bulding a 10km section of Belgrade's ring-road, between Batajnica & Dobanovci. First shovels go into the ground next month and deadline is May 2012.

When are they going to rebuild E75 from Leskovac to the Macedonian border?

That is awesome, it was like THE missing link in the Beograd area for through traffic.

I think they must move the streetlights here. They are not built for a motorway at that place. If they want to still have streetlights here they must change those out to new ones with twin arms.

@ V_E_J_Z_I_K great map.

@ Crazy, thanks for posting it.

It would be nice to see superimposed on the map planed/under construction motorways. Iím also wondering how many kmís of motorway existed in each republic during Yugoslavia and how much each republic has built since the break-up.
How many total kmís of motorways are there in former Yugoslavia, and how that figure would compare proportionately to neighbouring countries like Hungary, Czechia, Romania Ö ?

Anyone have a clue?
