London is finally getting better again, after suffering years of what can only be described as an architectural illness or rot following the bombings by the Nazis.
its finally showing its wealth which has been there for a long time and that doesnt mean building the tallest building in the world.

As I said earlier, more than 50% of buildings have been approved.

By the way, I've just updated my personal website and you can find a little animation on there -

http://www.willfox.com/

When the menu loads, click on "Creative Work", then in the sub-menu choose "Retouching" and you'll see a transition which fades between 2007 and 2012.

Congratulations Will. I have read the ES paper from the Amalfitan Coast in Italy where I spent my holidays.

wow havnt checked this thread in a loooooong time, and congratulations are in order, albeit extremely late. this is fantastic news for our community, that this render has prompted debate on this scale is great. Especialyl considering peoples views are getting put accross, compared to a seemingly baised view from bigger institutions such as CABE, UNESCO and EH. People power! thanks Fox for ur key input.

Wow!! It's like 3 skylines in one city. Finally London will look like the big, glamorous city it is. These projects are amazing, and this beautiful rendering shows it.
Very well done Will

Very, very exciting rendering. Fantastic job on the rendering, Will. You deserve a big thanks for laboring so to bring us such a fine rendering. Either I'm incredibly slow at Photoshop or that must have taken you days or, more likely, weeks to complete. Stellar work!

Will - only just spotted this on the projects thread and fell out og my chair!!! Good work. Dunno if this has already been asked, but any chance of adding the Elephant & Castle projects to it?

Lol. Dunno how you could have missed it. It's the most viewed thread in the London forum, and it's been in my signature for the last couple of months! Thanks, anyway.

I've already done Castle House and the Rogers tower. I know there's Oakmayne Plaza too, and possibly a couple of additional 40-storey residentials but we don't really know about them yet. Perhaps I'll add a couple of generic-looking towers to represent them. Also, I was thinking of re-doing Bishopsgate Goodsyard so it fits the recent masterplan we saw. There's another 200m+ tower I can add.

Modern buildings don't get much more beautiful than The Shard, Leadenhall and The Pinnacle.

London will have both. Height AND excellent design, en masse. I don't think I can say the same for any other European city.

I love the Canary Wharf Cluster: It's much larger (in area) than i'd imagined it would become! i'm not so sure about the architectural coherence of the financial quarter around Natwest and Swiss Re headquarters. It seems like each building blocks another from view.

Quite a lot of them have planning permission which is quite a hurdle in this country and is a useful indicator of the willingness of a developer to carry the project forward.

A few of them are in the stage of demolition/site preparation with contracts signed etc but as we are all aware there is no guarantee until a core actually rises that any of them will be built!
