You're welcome Dante
Air Namibia's livery seems inspired by South African's attractive new livery. Namibia too looks Euro white with the attractive naional flag colours on it's tail. Some take the inspiration theme a bit too far... Air Tanzania's Boeing 732 looks like a copy of South African - it does look good though in all honesty...a bit more originality wouldn't have harmed it surely... ![]() ![]() It might have been a clever ploy to bask in SAA's 'Best African Airline' aura by fielding a very easily mistakable similarity in the livery. Well they seemed to have taken the feed back - this looks like their new livery now on their first A320... The colours look entirely different - The giraffe is retained but now the tail has the recognizable snow topped Kilimanjar peaks. The only perennially white topped peaks in Africa - which is a good Tanzanian USP for the livery apart from the Giraffe. Quite a plesant livery - It reminds me a bit of AI's livery ...especially the the rays on the tail and the wavy section ahead of the horizontal stabilisers as well ...but still a good effort bringing out Tanzania's signature tallest African mountain and animal. ![]() ![]() Kolourful Kulula of South Africa... ![]() Kulula's an endearing riot I must say... ![]() This ones Rad - but being a wet leased aircraft (Comair) it looks like the locale painted on the aircraft is an European one rather than South African... ![]() Zip er up to the next destination - This Kulula 737-400 dons the latest - a 'fly' completes the livery on this flying machine...complete with a crowd pulling sense of humour! ![]() A striking pictue against Jo'burg's impending rain storm background... Mango's shocking orange livery on this 737-800 goes - oh so well- with that dark background - near perfect shot. Hats off to the photographer Sean Mowatt.

One of the last DC-8s in passenger service in 1990 - looking long and sleek with newer retrofited engines in Zambia Airways livery at London.
![]() Another picture for posterity - a shortlived Zambian airline called Aero Zambia - 732 covertable (note the large Cargo door behing the passenger door) at Jomo Kenyatta Nairobi in '97...National Bird Fish Eagle featured on it's tail in this rather boring and old fashioned livery. Airline shut shop in 2000.
