Yes! great!
Bu not the whole of Belgium is, my village for instance has only covered main streets...
But it's ok since every piece of road that has asphalt on it in Belgium probably has houses on it to, so it's nearly impossible to capture everything.

I'm glad I can now see the poor neighborhoods in Brussels whitout fearing for my life though

The tags on this thread are rather funny:

Quote:
did we just miss an exit?, hidden motorway signs, snelwegen, tropical vegetation

[mildly-technologically-illiterate mode on]

How are those generated? Is it automated, or is it the mods being funny? (I've noticed one of the tags in Guess the Highway, at least I think it's Guess the Highway, is "not just Europe" or something like that.)

I don't actually know what tags are for....

[mildly-technologically-illiterate mode off]

You can put up to 2 tags on a thread. Mods can put or remove any number of tags.

Besides the fact that this thread is about Belgium, I think that will be very unlikely...

Considering Belgium, it's like the newspapers said, the day Streetview was released the Belgians massively checked out their own house, the houses of their family and the house of their boss.
So releasing a feature like this in a country with one of the most secretly curious population led to many funy conversations.
Another funny thing about Streetview Belgium is that the imagery was all taken in 2009, so it's like going back in time. There have been no more road works and public infrastructural projects than in the past 2 years so on Streetview everything is like it used to be before those.

Example

2009

Summer 2011

Same spot

2010

Spring 2011

Indeed. It's weird seeing Brugge Station still looking like a building site on Streetview when I've stayed there a couple of times at the Etap hotel which was completed last year.

Still it's finally wonderful to visit Belgium without having to drive there all the time!

E429-A8 from Tournai to Halle. In Halle, the route isn't a freeway, but only 2x2 with traffic light junctions, an upgrade is planned for the future.

Nice video !!! You can see it is the German-speaking part of Belgium from the roadsigns. Is this part of Belgium always so snowy during the winter ? I drove there only once, in September 2004 ...

Then why going to the Alpes skiing ! The Malmédy region is O.K. !

P.S.: Is this section part of the newly non-lit network at night?

No, the new "lumination-plan" (I don't really know if that is the correct English word) is only in Flanders, not in Wallonia as far as I know...

If you have a close look at the roadsigns, you can see that they are originally bi-langual, but on almost all of them, the French names are deleted.
