Paris is beautiful, but unfortunately. When I went to Paris it felt too Americanized. It didn't seem as unique as I want it to be. Then again I was only in the touristy areas.

The Haussmannian part of Paris is the most beautiful urban area in the world.

Obvious Paris is one of fourth global cities.
It has Mac Donald's, KFC, Burger King, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Hagen Daas...
Paris is a great multicultural city.

That it didn't feel different then anyother city I've been to in the states, and also felt like a different city within the UK. Theres too many American fast food restaurants, a lot of things were in english. It just didn't feel as unique as I thought it would be.

This is probably a big part of WolfHound's complaints. I've never been to Paris, but seeing all that stuff would definitely disappoint me. I also don't like the huge ads atop buildings, as in image 26. I hope the city decides to "clean up" sometime in the near future.

I agree that you like the Paris of Amelie Poulin but this Paris disappeared in the 1960's.

Actually the Haggen Daaz is the only compliant I don't have. I loved that Ice cream it was so yummy. Too bad I don't know how to say scopes in French.
