The "Nord-Süd-Tunnel" (North-South-Tunnel) in Düsseldorf was opened on 14th May. The remaining lanes will probably be opened on 6th October 6AM. Meanwhile the test of the ventilating system is done.

Thanks for the info.
So 5 months to install a few panels and test the ventilation (BTW I wonder what needs more ventilation: a constant "Stau" created by a single lane road or a fairly free flow of cars on 2 lanes )

Since I am driving there pretty much every day, I could observe the progress or absence thereof.

B16 Regensburg-Ingolstadt

The 2+1 upgrade of the B16 south of Ernsgaden will begin on Monday. The road connects Regensburg and Ingolstadt. It will be widened on additional 3km (OSM) with AADT of about 13,000 vehicles/day. Four bridges will be widened. The 4.5 million € project will be completed until end of 2015. See press release.

Is there some list of all "Tallbrücke" on the Autobahn network?

The 470m Pfinztalbrücke near Remchingen-Nöttingen (OSM) is in service since Wednesday. It's between the Darmsbacher Höhe and the Klosterwegbrücke (257m viaduct which is missing in the list), the dangerous 'Nöttinger Senke' (A8 went through a valley with inclination and slope) is not used anymore. The congestions b/n Karlsruhe and Stuttgart should be less than before. The 2x3 widening b/n Karlsbad and Pforzheim-West will be completed in late 2015.

Pics: http://www.pz-news.de/foto_fotos,-Er...gid,13086.html.

Video: http://www.pz-news.de/video-uebersic...vid,26861.html.

Btw: The list is incomplete. E.g. the A3 Kauppenbrücke (491m), Rohrbachtalbrücke (290m) and Haseltalbrücke (678m) are missing.

B50n

The 5.4km 2x2 section of the B50n between AK Wittlich (A1/A60) and i/c Platten (west of the Hochmoselbrücke) will be opened in late November 2014. It was planned to be opened in October but it's delayed because of signs must be produced and the politicians must be invited. Source.

I was in Leipzig and saw the new tunnel of A4 at Jena. It was familiar for me although I have never driven on A4 before ;-)

Slightly off-topic:

There is a forumer from Bimmerpost who will be in Germany next month to pick up his BMW M5 (as part of the BMW European Delivery Program) similar to this one below:

His questions are:

1) Is there a parking lot near Sofitel Munich?

He wants to know if he can bring his car to the hotel where he'll be staying and wants to know if there's a parking facility in the hotel........or if not, at least a vehicle parking facility near the hotel premises.

Otherwise, if there's none, then he'll just leave the car at BMW Welt.

and

2) Is this picture still accurate?

I am sure that the forummer from Bimmerpost will get a lot further making by enquieries by telephone to the hotel where he will be staying, as well to Googlwe around a bit, rather than asking questions via-via on a internet forum, where you can expect unhelpful answers like this one...
