Today I saw a map from 2008/2009 that showed an extension of the A542 up to the A57, just North of Leverkusen, providing a much welcome additional option to cross the Rhine.
Since I have never seen any sign of work in that area, I guess the project got cancelled

An A54 Heerlen - Lüdenscheid was planned decades ago. It was replaced by a short A542. The plan approval procedure begun in 1972. It was aborted in the 1980th. The A542 is not in the current BVWP 2003. It was finally canceled in 2010 (source). The road was still in a map from 2010.

The B15n between Landshut and Rosenheim will not be built as a dual carriageway but instead as a simple Road with Bypasses and 2+1 stretches.

It sounds like a concept of Sparautobahn instead of gelbe Autobahn. However there are already some examples in Bavaria: B16n+B20, B12 etc. No doubts, the B15n, ex-A93, should be the option. For E45, A93-A9-A99-A8. This need has to be highlighted again.

I think "Sparautobahn" is used if it's 2x2 w/o hard shoulders. The new B15 "concept" is 2+1 only.

B15n will be completed by 2019 b/n A93 (Regensburg) and A92 (Landshut). It's yellow Autobahn with 2x2 lanes plus hard shoulders.

- B588/B299 Eggenfelden-Traunstein: bypasses are planned (AADT 2010: 7,000-20,000; 5-10% truck share); splits into B304/B306 again (AADT 2010: each 10,000-20,000; 5% truck share)
- B20 Burghausen-Salzburg: bypasses and a 2+1 upgrade planned (AADT 2010: 6,000-20,000; 5-10% truck share)

In addition, a 2x2 upgrade of B20 b/n A3 (Straubing) and A92 (Landau) is planned plus 2+1 upgrades up to Czech Republic (Straubing-Cham-Furth).

I'd love them to build important roads as 2+1 with guardrails between the directional lanes. That way, the speed limit could be raised to 120 and everybody would be happy.
