2x3?
Yes, the plan approval order was passed in May 2015. It includes a 965m housing ("tunnel").

Yes. But many additional Autobahn projects will be funded by PPP (A3 Würzburg-Fürth, A6 Mannheim-Heilbronn, A8 Rosenheim-Salzburg, A10/A24 north of Berlin, A49, A57 Moers - Cologne, E233, B247, A20, A26, A94,...). I think I've posted it lately...

List of projects which (should) have building permit without financing but no known problem and plan approval order older than 1 year but newer than 20 years:

HE A7 2x4 widening AD Kassel-East - AD Kassel-South; plan approval order: March 2010
HE A44 Sontra-West - AS Sontra-East; plan approval order: September 2013
HE A44 Sontra-East - AD Wommen; plan approval order: February 2013
HE B49 section 8, Biskirchen - Tiefenbach; plan approval order: September 2013
HE B521 Büches bypass; plan approval order: May 2011
ST B87 Kösen bypass; plan approval order: November 2010

That means, these projects were omitted.

I wonder how many of these projects were already adopted in the IRP 2011-2015. I think it included A44 and A49.

That means, these projects were omitted.
Projects of the demand plan (BVWP) with building permit for a long time but not yet funded (and not planned as PPP):
BW B31 Gauchachtalbrücke Döggingen 2nd c/w; plan approval order: July 1991
HE A67 2x3 widening GG/HP district border - north of Lorch; plan approval order: 1978
HE B47 Bürstadt bypass 2nd c/w; plan approval order: December 1971
RP A60 Winterspelt – Prüm 2nd c/w; plan approval order: March 1979
RP A62 Bann - Pirmasens 2nd c/w; plan approval order: July 1983
RP A64 Biewertal viaduct 2nd carriageway; plan approval order: 1977

Projects of the demand plan (BVWP) which recently got building permit but not yet funded (and not planned as PPP):
NI A1 2x3 widening AS Lohne/Dinklage – AS Neuenkirchen/Vörden; plan approval order: March 2015
NI B3 2x2 AS Celle-Altenhagen (B191) – AS Altencelle (B214); plan approval order: February 2015
NI B240 Weezen bypass; plan approval order: March 2015
NW B66 Rollkrug-Asemissen; plan approval order: March 2015
RP A61 2x3 widening AK Frankenthal (A6) – AK Mutterstadt (A65); plan approval order: December 2014
ST B180 Aschersleben - Quenstedt; plan approval order: June 2015

More projects of the demand plan (BVWP) with building permit but not yet funded (and not planned as PPP):
BB A10 2x4 widening AD Nuthetal - AD Potsdam; plan approval order: January 2013 (a special kind of (private) funding is planned here but still lack of investors)
BW B14 Backnang-West - Waldrems; plan approval order: November 2005 (first section of the total project is funded now)
BW B33 Allensbach-Konstanz section C+D; plan approval order: July 2007 (section A+B+E funded now, section F1 completed, section F2 u/c)
BW B34 OU Grenzach; plan approval order: June 2005 (neighboring Whylen bypass funded now)
BY B303 2x2 widening Schirnding; plan approval order: June 2008 (traffic much lower than expected; no demand anymore!)
NW B481 Münster bypass; plan approval order: September 2011 (first section - B51 widening - of total project is already u/c)
RP B10 AS Godramstein – AS Landau-Nord; plan approval order: June 2010 (complaints were rejected on 1st July 2015)
TH A4/A9 2x3 widening Hermsdorfer Kreuz; plan approval order: December 2010 (there were some trouble but I'm not up-to-date)
TH B249 Mühlhausen bypass; plan approval order: November 2011 (B247 bypass is planned as PPP, maybe )

That's it! That means, Germany has a lack of projects with building permit now

Someone should just stealthily give a permit to the A5 widening between Heidelberg and Walldorf... not asking for much, only about 200-250 million including the separately planned rebuilding of AK Walldorf...

Almost all states published a press release and are happy. NRW is the only state which had to explain....

They mention the first A1 widening section (150 million €; NRW does not want PPP), B66 Barntrup bypass (26 million €; I think it's still complained!?), B66 Rollkrug-Asemissen (17 million €, see my list) and B481 Münster bypass (I forgot it in my list b/c it's part of B51 widening but updated it now, the same for A7 Kassel) which are not yet funded.
They announce that B61 Ummeln bypass (2+1; 24 million €), A40 2x3 widening Dortmund-East (B36) - AK Dortmund/Unna (A1/A44) (82 million €) and B236 Dortmund/Schueruferstraße – AS Dortmund/Schwerte (A1) (2x2, 14 million €) will get building permit by the end of 2015. In addition, they hired planning employees and joined DEGES which means, projects for 2 billion € could be started in NRW by 2017!

You can see the projects on Google Maps (blue = PPP). But it's incomplete, e.g. A94 missing.... and partially wrong, e.g. A6 PPP is west of Heilbronn, not east of Heilbronn.

I read a lot of news article. Some projects are advanced, bidding procedures could begin "immediately", groundbreaking in late 2015. Some projects will probably be started in 2017.

The document had a wrong name. It was called "new PPP projects" . The project list link and the press release link have been changed by the Federal Ministry of Transport now.

Hello MichiH and other Forumers,

I'm new to the Forum.

In the NRW press release, the reconstruction of the B1 between Dortmund-O (jct B 236) and AK Dortmund/Unna will result in the A 40 and not the A 44. Is that right?
Thanx

B1 will be widened to 2x3 lanes and will be rededicated to A40 (Umwidmung). That means, A1, A40 and A44 will meet at AK Dortmund/Unna (instead of A1, B1 and A44). The press release reports that the plan approval order should be passed by the end of 2015 (9.5km; map).

There are two additional B1 sections which are planned to be upgraded to 2x3 lanes and A40:
- 2.5km b/n AS Dortmund-Hombruch (L660) – AS Dortmund-Mitte (L672) (map)
- 3.6km b/n AS Dortmund-Mitte (L672) – AS Dortmund-Ost (B236); plan approval order - passed in January 2008 - was canceled in August 2009 (map).

The Schnettkerbrücke was widened from September 2005 to May 2012, the section west of it up to AK Dortmund-West (A45) was widened from September 2007 to October 2009. The rededication B1 --> A40 of both sections came into force on 1st January 2012.

Yes, it's planned to realign and widening A8 to 2x3 lanes plus hard shoulders. Locals just want 2x2 plus hard shoulders and there's a lot of discussion.

It's announced to be a PPP project but there is no building permit yet and I don't believe that building permit will be reached for the entire A8 (~70km; map) earlier than 2018 or even 2020 or later. Two plan approval procedures began last summer (2x8km) and I'm not sure how many plan approval sections are planned but I think minimum 7: 2x8km, 1x4km, 1x16km, 1x6m and 1x~30km (west to east).

The government of Schleswig-Holstein feels overlooked, because the new investment programm concedes more money for projects to the southern states.

For more information: http://www.shz.de/schleswig-holstein...d10278291.html (Ger)

It is interesting for me, that it read the first time about a planned renewing of the tarmac between Bornhöved and Stolpe. Since a few weeks there's a 100km/h speed limit and nobody really knows why. (Or at least I couldn't find anything on the internet)

Nordrhein-Westfalen and Rheinland-Pfalz also get a small share (NRW only € 128 million!)

But the problem is on their side, they do not have many 'shovel ready' projects due to lack of planning capacity.

http://www.welt.de/wirtschaft/articl...illiarden.html

You have to take the welt article with a pinch of salt. It's an exaggeration, e.g. "Weißwurst connection" Baden-Württemberg - Bavaria. I don't think that Mr. Dobrindt, CSU party, gave funding to Baden-Württemberg because he's a buddy of Mr. Kretschmann or Mr. Hermann, Green party . But the message regarding planning employees is correct, see my post of the press release:

They announce that B61 Ummeln bypass (2+1; 24 million €), A40 2x3 widening Dortmund-East (B36) - AK Dortmund/Unna (A1/A44) (82 million €) and B236 Dortmund/Schueruferstraße – AS Dortmund/Schwerte (A1) (2x2, 14 million €) will get building permit by the end of 2015. In addition, they hired planning employees and joined DEGES which means, projects for 2 billion € could be started in NRW by 2017

Here is a list of what the Laender announced for the next national road plan (these are only their whishes, not what is going to be built, and of course there won't be enough money to realize all these projects):
