Ok, that's true. I don't see any grass though. I suppose it's still U/C.

Ok, back to Ze Autobahn.

Normally 3.75m. Overtaking lanes on newly built 3+3 Autobahns or sometimes even all lanes only have 3.5m.

Btw, radi, I've found something for you:

http://www.autobahn-online.de/phorum...462#msg-109462

You see the shiny crashbarriers?

Thanks for sending me that link. Indeet the crashbarriers are shiny, some of them very shiny, but they would look 10 times better if there were A profile, I profile look so amazing when they are new, they are hypnotical, when the clothes mirror in them and they reflect themself because of their shape. amazing.

I used to visit Autobahn Online often, but their forum software is so medieval, that I don't visit there anymore. Besides that, it's not that active. (compared to the much larger wegenforum in Dutch).

Too much concrete, I thought this aged technology wouldn´t be used anymore but it seems I´m wrong. They don´t care about the drivers confort since driving on concrete isn´t any confortable. Good they build their new motorways with aspahlt in Beyern at least. Concrete looks and feels ugly.

Me too, but then I got tired of reading German. They also don't have sorted by countries, they always open new threads for everything; I see that 4 threads are dedicated to our notorious vignette. And no pics, only links. Actually I stopped checking it when I discovered SSC. But it's still interesting, I guess.

Well, there are to much users that like the idiotic Threaded Mode, thats the main problem - but you can change it to the normal Liear mode.

Yes, the wegenforum has an activity like SSC

But a bit too active for me - so I gave up to read all posts there long time ago...

I also used to check the Autobahn Online, but because there threads opened for everything and it isn't very active, I quit it. Since I discovered SSC I started looking less and less to the wegenforum

But I think that the view is stored in a cookie, so try this link.

So Germany is using less and less concrete?

I think so, I see lots of new motorways with aspahlt or aspahlt mashines adding layers then concrete, I aktually don´t see any new motorways with concrete. And it´s obvious why.

So do they have concrete on the bottom of the asphalt? Or do they make the asphalt very thick so the foundation will last as long as concrete?
