AFAIK there is no such sign. However, the old road is still there so tractors/cyclists won't use the new one anyway.

C'mon guys

Back on topic:

Another significant delays are to be expected the next two weeks between monday and wednesday on D1 motorway section Prague - Brno. The modernisation process on lots 9 and 14 is advancing to 4th phase of construction, i.e. traffic will be rerouted to the new carriageway with the 4+0 measure still pending. During the works on switching the temporary barrier only 1 lane in each direction will be available.

I always find it remarkable how the ground cover including trees has stayed so intact despite going on that "mystical journey", it looks so weird

Must-see section in the Czech road network. Does Chris agree?

Was driving in Czech R a few days ago and i really liked the country. The only thing i dislike is some motorways with very noisy asphalt, why where they made like that in the first place? or do all motorways end up like that eventually?

Half-ring road with a bit of engineering.

On the outer.

On the inner.

Was the newest stretch of the D-road in CZ after opening? If so, it would not hurt to remind.

As the newest, it should be...
- in both directions.

- the oldest also.

What I've seen on these videos is that

- The Czech Republic had an excellent motorway network (comparable to Western countries like Germany or Austria) even before the fall of the Communist regime

- There's the same amount of annoying road works than in Germany. I've never seen such a thing in other countries like France, Italy or Spain, and their roads are also well-maintained. What are Germany and the Czech Republic doing wrong?

Winters in other countries such as NL or some regions of France are also tough, but road maintenance there is much less annoying.

Don't know about the winters in France , but the winters in the Netherlands are nothing compared to the winters in CZ.

As about the roadworks hassle..., it is simply worse organized.
