Is it planned to complete the MO ring? There's just a 10km gap between R8 and R1 in the east of Prague...

M0? You mean the inner city ring? It is planned, but the realisation is so distant, that it's not really relevant. But the plans are there, if those plans will be realized is really not sure.
Look at this gallery:
http://zpravy.idnes.cz/po-blance-se-...aha-zpravy_sfo

If you mean the R1, the Prague outer ring? The south-east part will be indeed realized as first, but there is still lot of work to be done. Paperwork. There is strong NIMBIsm and incompetence or impossibility of the Prague and Central Bohemian planning authorities.

This page is about the 511 part of the R1: http://www.okruhprahy.cz/stavba-511

It's called Městský okruh (MO), isn't it? https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C4%9...uh_%28Praha%29

Is it a test of a water-mist-system in order ot keep the emeregncy-exit smoke-free?

Congrats to Prague. I´m always astonished how much cities like Brussels, Stockholm and Prague invested in underground express-ways. Absolute useful A100 to Frankfurter Allee in Berlin would require similar efforts but is still a dream...

Those were last complex tests of all systems, including an emergency exercise.

This one test was dealing with a car on fire in the tunnel. I guess the test of the ventilation was part of it.
http://www.izdoprava.cz/dopravni-sta...-19-zari-2015/

Here some article about the ventilation system. The interesting fact is that the smoke should be sucked under the carriageway and sucked away under the road in order to keep the tunnel clear.

I am not sure what are those sprinklers doing there, but it could be what you say. The main measure against the smoke is however keeping one part of the tunnel over pressurized in case of emergency and sucking the smoke under the carriageway away.

Yes. Městský okruh = city ring, Pražský okruh = Prague's ring.

I hate this tunnel so much... It's a 6 kms of motorway inside the city (at one point it goes just 200 m from Prague Castle), the only result will be more people using cars for getting around the city. It will make living inside the city worse and outside the city better thus force more people to move to suburbs.
It costed around 1,6 billion euro, instead of this Prague could get one new metro line or complete tram network inside the city several times.
Shame on Prague

This logic (taking cars away from the city center drawing more traffic to it) is the same as the one of your user name. Irony I guess.

With the introduction of the blanka tunnel, what is now the best and quickest road linking D8 and D1 highway ? Before there was Prumyslova (too many traffic lights) and the eastern ring, but now there is also this western alternative. My recollection says that trucks are not allowed to enter the tunnel ? In addition, the western ring is pretty much only tunnels and you can't drive faster in a tunnel than on a regular highway.

What should blanka tunnel change for D8-D1? It's a detour...

Not a big detour as the eastern part (R1 road-Jizni spojka) I think.

Here is the eastern part that Im talking about:

Since Prague will not take away any road capacity in the city centre, the result of this tunnel will be more people using cars within the city and thus even lower quality of life inside the city than today (Prague has one of highest rates of car ownership in the EU). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis–Mogridge_Position

It's all an evil conspiracy to destroy Prague.

Your conclusion does not follow from your premise. Even the most extreme form of Lewis-Mogridge does not posit that adding road capacity makes congestion worse. Adding road capacity in the city centre (which the Blanka Tunnel does not do) would probably add cars to the city centre, but adding road capacity under the city centre (bypassing it) will not.

Doesn't it count as a "motorway"?
If so, you should post it in the Motorway openings thread
