Yeah probably. Both in dark red. Some sections are in orange though, but just very short sections.

R10 near Mlada Boleslav carries bypasses of roads 16 and 38 as well there and these two are not tolled. So this is the main reason.

And yes, both expways and mway are dark red on googlemaps, which means they are tolled. Orange is eway or mway tollfree.

R48 near Polish border is still yellow though, it's not the only mistake there...

Question about Prague: How is road 600 (gap between R1 and MO) likely to get jammed weekend afternoons?

If you mean K Barrandovu street, it is jammed only when there are trucks allowed. On weekends trucks are not allowed to drive in CR (most of the time), so traffic is kinda calm there. It has some traffic lights though, but I think you won't have any problem.

Ski-trip to Alps?

Yes

This route is indeed the best one when going from D5 to R10, right?

Of course. And next let's say 4 years still will be.

You can buy an OBU unit for el.toll at the border and you should be able to buy a sticker here:

I suppose they accept koruna, but if not, where exactly can I buy sticker in CZK there?

You mean the crossing? I don't know ... Maybe somebody of guys on your forum has some experience? It's way off my home

I assume it will be there for sale in CZK. But if you'll not be able to buy it on the crossing, try any post office or petrol station behind the border. There are many in Český Těšín (but not on the route 48).

The proposal for 160kph top speed on Czech motorways is ready to be discussed in parliament, according to an article on ihned.cz (Czech only).

Two pics I took in Prague in the last few days.

A sign on a bridge over the Vltava:

A billboard on the 5. Kvetna - the start of the D1 - near metrostation Kacerov:

Pekné. Bridge across Sázava is the best.

Question:

I'd like to take the A17/D8 border crossing, and I need a vignette. Can I pay those with euros at the border? I'm maybe doing a small tour through Czechia, and I don't want to go through the hassle of getting Czech Koruna for like 2 hours of driving.

I supose there will be no problem with paying with euro, but the exchange rate might be quite bad for you.

Nah, a one week vignette is about € 9. I don't worry too much about the exchange rate at such prices...

Yeah, then try to buy it on A17 near Breitenau (former crossing), there is a small stall or sth like that Euros are accepted as far as i know also on czech petrol stations where you can buy it as well...

This part was not recognized by government yet, but it is laid down in Zoning Plan of Pardubicky and Olomoucky kraj. It is supposed to be built after 2015, hopefully.
