If the route is included in those planing documents of regions (kraj), it is the first step to include it also to governmental plans. "Land development politics" (document issued by government) includes also a short text about this connection, but the route is not included in official list of planned routes.

I think it is the same problem as with polish A8 south of Wrocław, I haven't seen it in any official map, but it seems that it is expected to be prolongated to czech border, hopefuly to Boboszów, but I've heard also something about extension to Jawor (but that will be S5 maybe).

It will take some time, but thi corridor (Wrocław - Brno - Wien) has a big potential and I think it is only a matter of time (and money) to include it into official list of planned routes.

yes, but it's just dolnośląskie voivodeship project, and nobody from the government said anything about it, but actually S5 is going to go to boboszów, and S8, to S3, and then to cz/pl border...

I thought S5 would end at the A8 near the north side of Wrocław.

I have no idea... you know... it's being built in Czech, so things do not necessarily need to make sense...

On the top of the portals there will be a local road But that's not the real reason.
First: There is a sort of sand-based subsoil on the foot of the hill and there was a need to reinforce the bottom layer of the tunel first and then build these cut&cover parts.

And second: If there is not enough solid rock material to dig into, those cut&cover tubes are preffered. Geology of Prague area is one of the most complicated in Europe, causing many problems when making any tunnel in the city. So it's better to open the hill on the slope and dig into real solid rock.

Don't try! I have no idea how to transcribe... me and my colleague tried to do this and we both failed.

Actually it is very difficult for nonslavic person to pronounce that word.
Something like [crom-ye-rgee-s]
s as in pleasure; rg is only approximate for ř - try to pronounce as one sound.

So is ř comparable to the Polish "rz"? (as in: Rzeszów)
