Wow! Quite a lot has changed since I passed there two years ago. I remember some crappy village roads and jams

^ Český Těšín and Jablunkov bypasses were built, as for the rest, everything is still the same.

Nice pics!
How long is the section with a 3rd lane?
Woulnd't it make more sense to add the additional lane in the middle?

Sure it would, bcause of two things: Firstly, slower cars wouldn't need to change the lane, and some are unwilling to do so. Secondly, it's way better for the faster lane to end than for the slower one.

If I drive from Cieszyn to Zlina using bypasses of Cesky Tesin, Trinec and Jablunkov, do I need vignette?
Or is this road is excluded?
How about Slovakian vignette from border to Zlina?

2 years ago I didn't need a vignette for that, but since than some roads have been finished, so it might have been changed.

You don't need the vignette (I was driving to Zilina on 03 Jun).
AFAIK, the Český Těšín bypass is free. You need the vignette if you drive along R48 from THIS junction to Frydek-Mistek. Since you turn right to I/11 you don't have to pay. (Please note that you turn right BEFORE the "Silnica" sign)

New part of the bypass. Approaching junction with R48.

Turning right.

Oh yeah, it sounds logical: LV -> LT -> PL -> CZ -> SK -> H -> SLO (go, Slovenia, go! ) -> I; eight threads.

In Slovak SME daily has been published a map featuring the planned route of motorway leading south from Vyškov to Uherské Hradiště.

Yeah, now it's just history, it won't be built, even in mid-term plans. But it's nice to see those sections around Hulin city being under construction

At least you can see why this country split up. On the other hand, President and General Secretary of the Communist Party (that means the biggest boss) then was Slovak - Gustáv Husák.
