What do you mean exactly? They are going to terminate advertising contracts?

Sure, that there are some traffic disadvantages as well.........This section of D1 already sufferers due to many traffic jams (without another/additional traffic) and the widening of the I/3 to Mirosovice would be certainly no simple project.....2020, it could be the (a bit optimistic) goal there....
Assuming 3-4ys construction, considering the funding... well it may start by 2016...

Actually, this one will stay the same. This is a highway in Prague and there is no change to be expected. These billboards are allow by the city council not by ŘSD.

I guess the bilboards that are not affected by this step would be those that are build not on the land owned by RSD.

Another point is, that the anti bilboard policy is also promoted by the ministry and they may have some word over bilboards alongside all roads, not only those of RSD. But that is more depending on the legal aspect of things.

According to Ceske Dalnice, several short sections of D/R-road will open tomorrow? Is there any confirmation that they actually will open? Or is it just a deadline?

D1 Kroměříž-Hulín and R55 Hulín-Skalka should open. Remaining part under construction (D1 Hulín-Říkovice) is postponed till next year.

The small pitoresque road from Hřensko to the Bad Schandau on the Czech-German border in the north Bohemia has been closed due to the rock slide danger. The sensors on the rock detected some movement of the rock and therefore the road was closed. Further opening is possible after sanation in the spring.

Thats how it looked last year after such a slide. It is said it would be worse this time .

The electronic vignette charging is postponed at least 5 years. The bill was signed today by Czech president and came into power, postponing the originally valid law planned deadline for electronic vignette as of 1.1.2010.

Indeed it is good news.

The whole matter of electronic vignette was already explained further in this thread and I will not reapeat it here.

I wouldn't like to live in one of these houses but on the other hand it will be really successful for them. Do these people live in these houses during the construction? Because it looks really dangerous.

Probably yes, thats why you see footbridge in front of the house. Bigger problem are blocks of houses being underpassed by digged tunnels with only few meters thick roof, however those critical parts are mostly completed now.

Why make things unnecessary complicated by charging more truck toll on friday afternoons?

You have to be mathematical wizard to figure out all the truck tolls in Europe. You have tolls based on emission, weight, distance, axle count, time of the day, categories, etc.

I was a little surprised the Czech truck toll is higher than the German truck toll by the way. In Germany, euro 4 trucks pay around € 0,15 per km, in CZ this is around € 0,20 per km. Nothing beats the Swiss with € 0,70 per km though.
