Some news about the tunnel of the A86 in the western suburbs of Paris. The last 5.5 km section of the A86 tunnel will open to traffic in June 2011 according to Le Parisien today. The A86 will then be complete, and it will be possible to drive all around Paris on the A86.

Toll station on a motorway in the suburbs of Nouméa, New Caledonia (it's the motorway that goes from Nouméa to the Tontouta international airport).

PS: Traffic on that motorway in the suburbs of Nouméa was 19,905 vehicles a day in 2008. In 2009 the traffic is estimated to reach 20,800 vehicles a day. Car traffic in the suburbs of Nouméa increases by 4.5% every year. There is currently a project to build a new motorway that would link the northern motorway (the one going from Nouméa to Tontouta Airport) and the southern motorway (the one going from Nouméa to Mont-Dore) by bypassing the Nouméa peninsula, but completion has been postponned until the late 2020s (due to financial costs... it would cost 250 million euros/370 million US dollars, which is a financial cost per inhabitant equivalent to a 62.5 billion euros/92.5 billion US dollars project in Metropolitan France). The result is increasing car congestion in the whole urban area.

There are some cut&cover tunnels on the west side of Paris in the BP, but I think you mean the A86. The one that goes under La Défense is A14.

No, the BP is the inner ring road, and the A86 is the second ring road. A/N104 is the third ring road.

No, A104/N104 is the Ile de France ring road. A86 is the Paris inner suburbs ring road and BP is the central Paris ring road.

Stade de France is at the interchange of the A1 and A86 motorways. However, there's actually no connecting interchange between the two motorways.

The Boulevard Périphérique doesn't have motorway status, I believe it doesn't even have expressway status and traffic on on-ramps has priority over traffic on the BP itself. But it does have more or less motorway characteristics.

You mean the couverture de la plaine on the A1 in St. Denis:
