Wasn't it obvious that I was being sarcastic?

My point was that it is odd to talk about ur "3 fundamental aspects of Judaism" when in reality u don't give a shit of what Judaism says, hence referring to Israel not following the Torah !

seriously if you followed what Islam wants you to follow, youd be contradicting yourself.

But were more than a religion. Were a group. A community. A nation....
If the people wanted freedom and democracy. A right to practice religion and also have a right to say and elect..than is that wrong?

Simply put, Noam Chomsky is a looney-leftist, self-hating American Jew who loves Hezbollah (he's also a world-renowned linguist and MIT professor).

Israeli electoral system

I am interested to know how the electoral system works. Is it true, as someone told me in the 1990s, that it's a system of purely mathematical proportional representation, i.e., that getting one-onehundredandtwentieth (1/120th) of the vote gives a party one seat, and so on? (This is system that operates in The Netherlands, where it's 1/150.) Have there been any governments in Israel's history that have had an overall majority (at least 61/120 on present figures) by one party? If not, what is the largest number of seats any party has ever had?

Gilgamesh VI, I should have thanked you in my first reply for having taken the trouble to provide the precise details.

Gilgamesh VI/Anyone: Does the same system (of purely mathematical proportional representation) also apply in municipal elections?

it is not exactly " purely mathematical proportional representation".
a blocking precentage exist ,so small parties don't pass it.you need to gain more than 1/120 of the total votes to get a seat in the knesset.
