I think it has something to do with the extension of the Lujiazui subway station. Or maybe the elevated walkways that are u/c in Lujiazui. Or maybe both...

No, the photo is taken with a wide-angle lens, thus the Shanghai Tower would lean outwards similarly to the towers behind (see Citigroup, GFB etc.), hence it would barely be visible in the photo. Probably some of it, but it wouldn't take up 1/3 of the photo.

I might exagerated with the 1/3...
but I doubt all those buildings can be seen thru the gap made by Jin Mao and Shanghai Tower...
