Oh they're building a pedestrian overpass around that intersection as well?

looks like it, but super brand mall is just under 250,000 sqm vs 90,000 sqm at ifc mall.

I went to the Oriental Pearl Tower for the first time since I came to Shanghai last month, and I really enjoyed the attraction. Having visited both SWFC and Oriental Pearl observatories, I think Oriental Pearl has better view because you get 360-degree view, and there are 4 levels you can visit, indoor and outdoors. I also enjoyed immensely the Shanghai Historical Development Museum (free with admission to tower) at the base of the tower.

Here is a picture of the IFC at night I took at the outdoor observatory. IFC was having some light testing on the upper floors, they flash from time to time.

Incredible progress, every time I see pictures of Shanghai I'm shocked at the rapid speed in which the city's skyline is changing.Great pics

The speed is really fast. I think the whole lujiazui area will be finished within the next few month before the start of the shanghai expo (except shanghai center).

I do not think IFC can finish time for the expo. I have a feeling it would be left without cladding really ugly for quite a while during the expo. Same thing applying to that taiping? building next to it.

Of course they need to keep the current construction speed but I am pretty sure the shanghai government does not want to have a huge construction site in the middle of the busiest tourist area in shanghai, so the IFC, the whole Century Avenue, the Skybridges, the Pingan building - everything will be finished before the expo - at least it will look finished from outside. Maybe the IFC Shopping Mall will not be open.

For the IFC - only a few floors left to the top - with the current speed that will be done in one/two month, cladding is not a problem, that is fast. Lets see in a few month.
