The domed building is called Ping'an Financial Building.
It's the most CURSED building in Shanghai. On such a vantage plot, it destroys the Pudong skyline.
Why? Because of its bad taste. Like a rich but uneducated man.

oh man, relax! It's not that bad. I personally think that domed building looks ok, at least not ugly. Pudong's skyline looks still cool with it or not. Lujiazui looked so great from the bund when I visited there two days ago.

It is the ugliest thing I've seen in my whole life. And I thought that the Merryland Tower behind it was ugly.

I think too that the Ping An building really fits well in the Lujiazui Skyline. Around this buildung are some other buildings in the same style.

Actually it is much better than building again one of these blue/green glass towers which all look the same.

Well, you have to look on the bright side. Merryland Tower is looking better now.

December 26 by Shanghai Daily - Source: http://www.shanghaidaily.com/article/?id=423816

April start for new way to get around Lujiazui - A CIRCULAR elevated walkway over a busy intersection in Pudong's central Lujiazui area will be open to the public by the end of April. About 300 deputies to the Pudong New Area People's Congress inspected the under-construction walkway yesterday. It will eventually form a complete circle over the intersection of Century Avenue, Lujiazui Road W., Lujiazui Ring Road and Fenghe Road. "Lujiazui has waited for the walkway for a very long time," said Mao Deming, deputy director of Shanghai Lujiazui Development (Group) Corp. The intersection has no traffic lights so pedestrians have to make long detours or walk across busy roads. The walkway will help pedestrians get around the area more quickly and safely and give tourists good views of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jin Mao Tower. It will connect the Lujiazui Metro station and nearby buildings such as the Super Brand Mall. The current construction work is part of a 470 million yuan (US$68.8 million) elevated walkway project which will be expanded to connect the Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Lujiazui Central Green Area.

This elevated walkway will be perfect! I almost got hit by a car when crossing the intersection on the way to the superbrand mall.
