I wonder why they don't use the correct Albanian spelling on the signs.

I.e.: Tiranė, Durrės instead of TIRANE, DURRES

Because when words are written with capitals the dots above 'e' or 'c' are not being used.

I think (correct me if I am wrong) that the fastest/best road quality route from the border in Shkoder to the border at Kakavie is:

via the SH1 (Shkoder, Lezhe, Fushe-Kruje)
onto the SH2 (Vore, Duress)
onto the SH4 (Fier, Tepelene, Gjirokaster),

right? If there is something I have made wrong, or a faster suggestion, I have open ears, thank you!
Hi to everyone and sorry to bother you again!

Taking into account the latest new on the superstrada construction, how long would you estimate that the trip will take - from Shkoder to Kakavie?

Googlemaps says 4hrs 20mins. Is that too much, or too optimistic?

In 4 h you can drive from Pėrmet to Tirana, add to this 1.30 h from Tirana to Shkodėr.In total it can be for 6-7 hours.I took Permet as start point as Kakavija is in Gjirokastėr which mean 1h distance from Gjirokastėr to Pėrmet.

the music playing in that video sounds nice and the road looks very well. The motorways and nationalraods shown here look very modern and clean.

In KS, they use the dots. Not sure why not here.

This is an issue which has been talked alot about in the Albanian Forum. It seems very odd that the country whith the most Albanian speaking popullation does not respect the correct Albanian grammer. Even in the Albanian inhabited parts of FYROM, the Albanian on road signs seems to be correct. Albania should use the Kosovo motorway sign system, which is closely related to that of the former Yugoslav countries.

Why should Albania use the "former yugoslav sign system"? Not sure what that even means. Aren't there differences even among them? I think this has something to do with "Kodi Rrugor e R.Shqiperise". I'm perfectly fine with the current signage system if they use the correct spelling on the signs.
