I have just made a comment that there is connection between Albania and Italy in cultural and not political terms (that's why I said "connected"). I have also stated the Greek case just to show that there is nothing strange on the Albanian decision.

And the final phrase had nothing to do with Albania, but it was a general point that exists elsewhere in the World especially in Africa (for example Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco etc. following the French system).

Sorry if anything was misunderstood. I never show any strong nationalistic feelings, against any nation.

PS. The Illyrian Patriot has understood my intention.

We have the Italian one because the govt was/is too lazy/unwilling to create a new one. Case closed.

No, it simply doesn't add anything meaningful to the debate. Not to mention that it's misleading, since Albania clearly hasn't copied "everything" from Italy.

Why get so easily offended? The signage is clearly very similar to that of Italy.

The signage is, but not "everything" as Angelos claimed. And telling people that their posts are misleading is not being easily offended. In fact, he wasn't just being misleading, he was clearly trolling with that unsubstantiated claim.

Anyway, let's move on.

The term i used was indeed misleading, what i meant is that as ea said Albania has deep connections with Italy (economically, Culturally, Historically) thus Albania has adopted many elements of the Italian "model" of infrastracture.

That is correct, and it is most evident in the signage used on Albanian roads.

Yes Albania has a lot in common with Italy especially the some of the south-eastern regions (like Puglia). Although, I would not go as far as to say "former colonial" though.

I don't understand why fellow Albanians make such a fuss when comparing Albania to Italian influence. Everything in Albania is Italian influenced actually. Even the government buildings in the heart of Tirana are based on Italian architecture. There is no doubt about that. I have been to Albania and I know. Some people are such a bunch of sissies. Just accept and move on.

PS. You could also say that Kosovo is Yugoslav influenced.... ie the motorway signs.

Is there a map online showing where A1 and A2 are finished and in use at the current time? (like in not two years ago, nor two years into the future)

Yes, because it's not A2 but just SH4 Perhaps it will be resigned when bypass Fier is built, no official information is available afaik. In fact I think nobody knows that A2 was A2 just before the opening...

But there are also some serious reconstruction works necessary before you can speak of SH4 Durres - Fier as a (true) motorway. The new part from Durres to Rrrogozhina is OK, but the other parts aren't a motorway at all. Like SH2, too...

Maybe you are mistaking it with the bridge of A1 over "Fan" river in Mirditė region?

Anyway...the bridge that showed stickedy is the entrance in the city.

on the left..
