have you been on the dirt roads in albania? i have and i don't think they'd suit the locals given the surprisingly large amount of motor traffic on these dirt roads. they were large sections of these elevated dirt roads that were barely wide enough for 2 cars, and there would be large semi-trailers going in both directions.

Come on people... let's be realistic!
Albania roads in general are really bad. Maybe even the worst in Europe. But that's understandable taken into account Albania's recent history! Now it's time to work to improve that, and looking at the future with optimism! ![]() Let's hope that in some years the roads will be much better!

Yeah i guess there was an accident there with total blocking of all lanes.
All cars can turn there and went back for another route, but trucks can't and have to wait. ![]() I saw that once on the Dutch N35 near Raalte. Looks kinda weird, a road with only trucks.

That was the point I was trying to make. Road quality is not a/the only sign of a country's "developedness". In the photo there had been an accident, but it's of a road that links two "major" cities, and that's it, there are no more lanes or alternative roads.

Nice.
How do you speak out the ė letter in Albanian? In Dutch ė are usually used in words with ie and iė becomes ie-ee. (like the word official - officieėl - offi-cie-eel)

Well, I keep that Albanian network as a whole is probably one of the worst in Europe... and the photo's you posted didn't make me think otherwise. Anyway, I don't mean this as an attack on Albania or anything, so no need get angry at me.

I say this because since tosk is the official dialect, in many cases nouns end up in that vowel. That's not the case with gheg where letter ė is only placed between other letters, rarely in the end. It's pronounced like the "a" in "a book" |
