There's a newspaper dedicated to this road that's published monthly. It can be viewed in this link http://dibra.org/new/index.php?optio...d=55&Itemid=54
It provides insightful information on the technical aspects of the road, as well as local news from the region.
One of the completed segments which was posted earlier in this thread:

So, Shqiptario has every legal right to call the city Dibėr.

Ouch, that's a slap in the face. If the municipality [.gov] city website says Dibėr. End of conversation here.
What's the big deal anyways. These regions are predominately majority Albanian just like Quebec is french. We reserve the right to call them in the names we see fit.

Anyways it's not first time BL provokes. He comes from a city(Banja Luka) which is Serbian because of demographic genocide of Muslims.

I don't know where somebody gets the heart to question the legitimacy of Albanian in Macedonia. Which have always been there, even before the Slavs. Ah the world we live, full of ironies aint it?

Lets just focus on highways instead?

Definately. The construction of the highway has economic benefit for both sides. The port of Durres is used for trade with Western Europe.

It will cut the time for trucks shipping goods to Italy.

almost
but apparently the road has been repaved. The road itself is ok, but the pavement was awful.

1st you know nothing about Banjaluka so stop writing and especially you shouldn't write about genocide
2nd English forum English names it has nothing to do with Albanians anywhere or their rights. But you are full of complexes to see the point. I could go in Austrian thread and write Beč for Vienna yes it is possible, but it is meaningless. Simple rule English forum English language. And here are the english names name no 1, no 2 and about Fyromians it is pointless even to write.
3rd no one is interested in historical fairy tales in motorway thread

Those are not the English. They are the Slavic version. The english version is what the municipality calls its own town.
The name for it is Dibra or Diber.

I don't care enough to continue this arguement over it.

I think is time to stop and back to topic. Both sides are right. BL has a right to ask to write English names, since not all people knows we say Shkup/Skopje and not all Albanians knows that Shkup is called Skopje, or other cities. So back to topic....

I read yesterday, in the Greek Sunday newspaper "To Vima", that Greek construction companies are contributing and working in Albania's infrastructure works with a percentage of 35-40%. That's very good news for both countries in a time of economic crisis...

What are you talking about?

Edit: here is the link and the article of the newspaper. Unfortunately it's in Greek, but with a bit of Googletranslate you should be able to get what it says. In the last part it mentions the investments in infrastructure works in Albania by Greek companies (it's 30-40%, my mistake)

I think that 40% is a bit exaggerated..most of the costructors of our roads r Italians..well Greeks r working in some segments in southern Albania..but don't know if 2-3 segments make 40%...

About the ridiculous exaggeration of that newspaper? 5-10% maybe, but 35-40% seems like a made up number to make the reader feel better about the economy.

According to the news and USGS it was a 5.4

With a 7.0 earthquake, much of Albania and Macedonia would've been levelled. Remember 7.0 is 100 times stronger than 5.0

7.0 is pretty rare in Europe, even in the world, there are only like a few dozen of those every year, mostly in remote ocean regions.
