Judging from the neighboring Westyards Center building, the tower must be about 220-250 meters tall.

I see now this building might not be a super tall...since the empire state is in the background while this one is in the fore front, it seems the ESB will still be taller.

Until we have more definitive, reliable evidence as to the height of this one, I think it belongs in the Highrises sub-forum, where I've moved it.

Modern office buildings in NYC tend to be 14 feet, floor to floor (if not more). There's also several double height floors. 66 floors at 14 feet each is 962 ft., and that's not including the double height of some floors, nor is it counting the roof, which goes beyond the top floor by 70 or so feet.

So quite frankly, if it does have 66 floors, and they are at the 14 foot standard, this building will be over 1,000 feet. That means it does belong in the Supertall section.

The block is about 195 ft. across N-S, not including the existing sidewalks. I estimated the building at about 170 ft. wide at the base there, as it looks like they widened the one side walk along 34th street in the render.

The New Yorker Hotel behind it is 470 ft. tall, but its also about 1,600 ft. further away from the camera in the night render.

Also, the night rendering is a bit inaccurate as far as building placement. It should block out most of the New Yorker Hotel from that perspective (unless the map here is wrong) as that hotel is also in between 34th and 35th streets.

Well at 986', it would be almost 200' taller than 1 Penn plaza, and 250'+ shorter than Empire state, and i also agree that it needs no spire, i also like the fact that it rivals the ESB but does not dominate it. I would very much like to see this one go up in its present form.

I really like this building, I just hope it's not too tall, because then it will draw attention away from Empire State! and I don't think any building in midtown should be taller or more attention-grabbing than Empire State.

Big fan of this design. don't care if its 1000 ft, as long as it's over 800.
