sounds good to me.Maybe should just do a mall 2 mall tour 2010.That could fullfill all the criteria of the 'in search of modern India' that we'se gonna do....
Its funny 'cos in the west malls are so fucking boring.Try to avoid them.Markets are the place toshop n hang out. But in Asia they're superfine., almost as good as the markets too. Why might that be?

http://www.deccanherald.com/Content/...8012147775.asp It’s more good news for multiplex aficionados in the city. ‘Shringar Cinemas,’ one of the largest multiplex operators in the country on Sunday launched its newest addition, ‘Fame Lido’. The pre-launch party saw the swish set of Bengaluru walk the red carpet. The pre-launch bash included the who’s who from Bangalore’s social circles and the entertainment industry. Shravan Shroff, managing director, Shringar Cinemas said the Fame Lido is the first multiplex to offer recliners for couples and family. “The multiplex offers easy ticketing services with multiple options of online, mobile, landline, credit card and kiosk booking. By March 2008, we will have a total of 19 properties with 44 screens pan India,” he said. Spread across 30,000 sq ft, Fame Lido is a four screen multiplex with a seating capacity of 993. The multiplex will be thrown open to the public/film goers from January 25. It is located at Lido Mall, Next to Ista Hotel, Old Madras Road, Off M G Road, Trinity Circle, Ulsoor. Call: 40614848. |

I live in NCR and the malls in Noida apart from "great india mall" are just boxes with shops inside. No swanky look at all. Blr malls have always been clean and swanky with better design and lighting. Take bangalore central, garuda and forum malls which have been there for quite a long time now.

GARUDA SWAGATH MALL - JAYANAGAR
