TOTAL has been expanding at a rapid pace and this is the third store to be launched in Bangalore within a time span of 15 months. The earlier two TOTAL stores are operational at Mysore Road and Madiwala.

TOTAL Sarjapur Road sprawls across 2, 40,000 sq ft of space. An investment of Rs. 2500 per square feet has gone into the property. It provides for a 500-car parking facility. Each floor is connected with travelators that make access easy for both young and old.

The first and second floors offer a hypermarket that carries more than 80,000 different products from more than 1,500 different brands, under different categories of products such as apparel, consumer durables & IT products, furniture & home furnishings, fresh fruits & vegetables, fish & meat & poultry, Garma Garam – serving fresh Indian food and Baker's Factory – TOTAL’s popular in-house bakery. For quick and easy shopping the hypermarket has 30 billing counters.

The ground floor is occupied by a plethora of brands under food, fashion, technology & healthcare segments, such as Cafe Coffee Day, Planet Fashion, Wills Lifestyle, John Players, Woodlands, Reebok, Adidas, Proline, Home & Apparels, Books & Beyond, Hotspot, Reid & Taylor, PDA Cafe, Wizz, Lilliput, & Spykar. Also slated to open in few days are Manipal Cure & Care, Manipal Pharmacy, Leena Mogre's Fitness Centre and many more brand outlets.

Announcing the opening of the new hypermarket and mall, Mr. Dinesh Malpani, CEO – Jubilant Retail, stated, “We are glad to announce the launch of our third store in the city, in line with our long term plan of being a leading retailer in the region. TOTAL has become a store of choice of discerning customers in Bangalore. He added that, “TOTAL offers the best variety and value across product segments & services. You name it, we have it and we are looking forward to customers coming in and garnering a feeling of a day’s outing along with shopping“.
you can't call this a mall. it's just a building with 4 floors. there is no atrium too. so is oasis in koramangala. only good mall in bangalore is forum. and garuda is the other mall - but this is too cramped and i never liked it. and we already see over capacity. retailers are reporting lesser per store sales in bangalore.

RMZ MALL UPDATE - RMZ GALLERIA

Project Overview:

RMZ Galleria, the first retail venture by RMZ Corp is also the sub-continent's first green mall. RMZ Galleria is a mall unlike any other. Not only in terms of size, enviromental friendliness and design but also in terms of concept, location and connectivity. This 1.1 million square feet mall is the first truly destination mall in Bengaluru. The location is conveniently accessible. Thanks to superior connectivity and upcoming Bengaluru metro rail project. The newly developed airport, just a few kilometers away adds to further advantage. When RMZ Galleria will be completed by December 2009, it will not only cater to the needs of residents in the primary catchment areas of Hebbal, Sahakaranagar, Bytharanyapura, Amruthahalli, Yelahanka, Devanahalli but to the whole of Bengaluru as well.

Project Highlights:

- Excellent location
- Scalability option
- Large and efficient floor plates
- Excellent car park ratio

Project Amenities:

The amenities at RMZ Galleria would be one of the best of any mall in the country. For the first time a mall will have an extensive range of services that will help a shopper spend more time without having to worry about chores he needs to undertake. The amenities include bill payment counter, launderette, dry cleaner, repairs, ATM's, banking services, money changer, cloak room, kids care center, baby feeding room, grandparents corner, concierge, lost and found, phot/print shops, florist, internet cafe, business center, travel desk, tailor, doctor and medical assistance room.

Location Advantage:

RMZ Galleria is located about 18 Kms from the new international airport coming up in Devanahalli and around 17 Kms from CBD. This way it bisects the two important destinations of the city. Also Yelahanka is an important residential area of Bengaluru with many new developments on the anvil. Being at the exact central point between the CBD and new airport has its advantages. Many developments are bound to come up to take advantage of this equidistance. Including hotels and many corporate offices as well. The national highway No. 7 runs very close to this mall allowing people to commute from long distances to visit the mall.

Nice to see that they have retained the chimney of the existing Brick Tile factory in the rendering.

Yes Robin, our own neighborhood mall eh?!

The rendering conveniently leaves out all the adjoining homes.

yes VVR, Richards Town is losing its old Bangalore charm... I am not sure whether majority of people who live in and around Richards Town will prefer having malls replacing old colonial style bunglows...

My daughter's school bus stop was right outside the site of this new mall and it used to be a daily morning ritual to gaze at the gorgeous bungalow that used to be there. It was heart breaking to see it get demolished.

I reckon that there are about 10 of these bungalows left in Richards Town. The one across Cookson from the mall is maintained beautifully. The one at the other end of Cookson is a beauty.

Bluru is undergoing a tremendous change for the better... if only the roads and mega infra projects come to fruition quicker..
Many hallis have wild development without the roads being properly tarred. Pace of private development outstrips the public one. I saw a road in an internal development area laid in 3 days, road rollers, excavators, army of folks working round the clock. If only the public govt ones worked like these outfits, Bluru roads can be transformed overnight.

BTW Any updates on malls near the Whitefield area like Forum of Prestige. I am always surprised that the number of malls being built may not justify the demand side for shoppers. The latter always surprises me, no mall is empty and crowds throng the places. Yeh hai India. The unofficial stats on money supply outstrip the official ones.

I could not believe the changes in this area and around clarence high school. Things are changing rapidly. Once again the infra for fast getaway roads is lagging behind. Maybe the Bluru Metro will solve this issue.
