Part three

M20 towards Dover

A20 towards Dover

Dover

Norway is not a EU country, so I have to go through freight clearance and customs at Dover first...

After dealing with customs now heading for the ferry to Calais.

Weighbridge. I am traveling on a freight ticket with P&O today, so I need to go through this hassle as well. Sometimes I travel on a tourist ticket as a camper van and I go straight through.

On the ferry

I am and have posted more in the transiting countries on my way to Norway.

Radio 2 fan? I also listen to this station, but sometimes turn to R4, which is good for worldwide news with mostly wise comments, however they tend not to play music for hours and get me bored after one hour listening.

I listen to radio 4 a lot in the mornings and afternoons. This was on a Saturday, so I think it was Jonathan Ross on at the time

A4440, Broomhall Way, Worcester

Adding new carriageway to the one of the most congested part of Worcester by-pass (if it's really a by-pass)

Sure they have, that road is still within the UK borders and within the UK borders is the jurisdiction of the UK police.

Though being in a private ownership, the road is still "public" in a sense that it is not isolated (not by barriers etc., not even a prohibition sign) from other road network, and that practically anyone can use it.

I was in Northern Ireland last month and went for a stroll around the motorways and expressways there.

A1 from the border with the Republic of Ireland to Lisburn (M1):

Motorways around Belfast (M1, M2, M3):

What's your point? pathetic.org.uk lists all proposed but unbuilt, as well as many actually built, British motorways.

I think the site's humour has gone woosh over his head.

The M31 is, of course, pathetic as only about 4 miles of it near Wokingham was built.

Actually, no.

It's certainly one of the best resources, but CBRD has Glasgow's plans and Liverpool's that PM doesn't have so as to not step on toes (they researched them together, IIRC, along with SELNEC and Tyneside and took two urban areas each). Ditto London, though that was a CBRD solo project.

It doesn't have the third Southampton M27 spur, or the Eastern half of Portsmouth's loop, or Leeds' NE urban motorway. It doesn't have Telford's plans, or Nottingham's or Cardiff's - all three places having at least one unbuilt motorway. I think the research is there for Telford, but not the time to make the pages.

Road_UK, can you give me some information about clearing Customs for going to Norway?

Why do you clear the goods out of the EU in Dover and not on the border with Norway? Also, what stops you from not actually exporting them?

Are you obliged to report to the Customs authority of the last EU state you're in before exporting them?
