Rear ones do but front ones don't bother me either.

Queen Elizabeth's bridge is particularly impressive as well as view from it.
With Dartford crossing everything goes fine as long as there is no traffic. Once it took me about 1 hr to drive 2 miles just before the bridge.

Another thing is to remember carrying cash with you. There is no way to pass toll booth using plastic cards. Since I was asked to get back and find a cash machine, I always have some coins with me going there.

Once I didn't have cash and they took my details and gave me a ticket. I had to deposit the toll fee into their bank account. How did they send you back? Where did you park your car?

It wasn't a car, I drove 26t rental truck. They called 2 service gentlemen and a security Land Rover to escort me. Once, two nearside lanes got clear I followed LR to the first roundabout. I was explained how to find a nearest cashmashine, which was built-in the wall of nearby Asda shop. It took me about 30 mins to come back on the gates.

I will be ordering the below, because I drive through there twice a week.

It doesn't cost anything, you can actually save a bit of cash! Plus you don't need to have change with you, nor count it or even open your window. You approach the toll booth, the thingie beeps and off you go.

Baillieston to Newhouse section of M8 finally annouced as going ahead by the Scottish government:

BBC News

Good to see the Scottish motorway network finally coming to completion, shame it's partly using English taxpayers money though...

Front ones can be very disturbing if you are driving in the opposite direction.

Foglights don-t bother me at all, but then again I can't drive for another year. However, when I'ma passenger staring weridly at the road like we do, they don-t bother me.

I'd gladly let England keep all its taxpayers money in return for Scotland keeping all it's North Sea Oil revenue.

Fog lights are only meant to be used in very thick fog as well, not just any time its a bit foggy.

They are there to make your car visible. They don't really make any difference to what you can see. The rear ones in particular do dazzle any driver behind.

Another disadvantage of rear fog lights is that they may look like braking lights.

Last week I was driving on the motorway in icy conditions, but with clear visibility. One guy had his rear fog lights on (two of them), and you could constantly see people braking for no reason behind that guy with the fog lights...

Seriously? In my home city in Alabama (which is a hokey village compared to London), we have a joke of a toll bridge and even it takes credit.

They won't be fog lights unless they're damaged. Front fog lights are pointed to the floor at a sharper angle than normal dipped headlights. As has been pointed out above, they're not for you to see with, but for other road users to see you.

If you're getting 'disturbed' it is more likely to be idiots who drive with full beam on.

That was what I was saying. Some people use fog lights just because it's rainy or very cloudy, and that's disturbing to other drivers. Not when there's fog, they're supposed to be used when the weather is like that.
