I never minded the more hands on subjects myself (although I dropped them as soon as I was allowed). Woodwork, Metalwork and bendy plastic class were genuinely good fun.

I loved woodwork. I was quite pissed there was no option to take it past 5th year at high school.

they called it CDT at my school (craft, design and technology). i enjoyed that too. fortunately though i dropped it in favour of a much more useful subject in the form of religious studies, which taught me that billions of people around the world believe in all manner of nonsense, but that we must respect that.

I did craft and design I think as a standard grade. I don't remember enjoying it quite as much. We did all the different crafts and the class was full of complete mongs. I had stones from the furnace thrown at my back, one twat trying to convince me to give him my well made small hammer for his mangled piece of shit, etc. Woodwork in the next year was great. The best teacher I had all through high school and no twats.

Definitely losing the plot.
I made some great things at school. An ashtray in metalwork and in plastics I made a mini slide with steps for my domino rally set. I was never much cop at woodwork unfortunately. But I think carpentry is a pretty damn cool profession. When I have time I am going to enroll on some form of evening school to try and learn. Just for the pleasure of it. |

Bloomberg news feeds have a function that shows you the most read stories in the last hour, day etc.
You might imagine that the bankers have been reading all the output on Greece, Eu etc but no! The most read story is a report that oral sex is more likely to give you throat and mouth cancer than smoking.

I hope the iPhone 4S doesn't look that different from the iPhone 4.
I don't think Three would let me upgrade

I had my interview on Monday and it went really well. I got a call a couple of hours later telling me that I've got the job
![]() I celebrated last night in Hackney at a pub and had a lovely meal there, then carried on drinking in West Ham until the early hours.

They told me not to design a house. They told me to break the rules. So I designed a house.
