I spigging love them. I am a massive 2d drawing lover. The prices were anything from £25 - 10000.

In the meanwhile, I think you (and them) will have to bite the bullet.

It'll be worth it, because, as has been said elsewhere - cats are awesome.
I hope your right because the old cat is sat outside grumpy and only come in to eat his food then he is back out.
When i approach him his face looks angry and sometime he would hiss.
The kitten doesn't care she even tries to approach him.

There's also a very potential downside.

If your cat is particularly old, it could speed up its death - I've seen it a few times before where an old cat (10 to 13 years old) just seems to give up after a new cat is brought into the house and dies within a few months of the much younger cat joining the household.

Keep an eye on the situation.

I'll be resigning soon actually, as I've got a trip to the USA lined up this summer and a new job starting later this year

The only downside is that it's located in Feltham.

Many a day in my youth was spent drawing maps of fictional towns and countries.

I would love to have time or energy to draw some awesome hand drawn maps, plans or elevations...

Bizarrely some of my best memories of uni were hand drawing in first year on no sleep for days. I loved constructing a drawing.

Here's an updated map from 2010

Note SSC in the forums section, just off the coast of the /random/ ballbag.

What is QQ?

I also used to like drawing maps as a kid.

Is being a proper cartographer actually a really shit job?

I played SimCity for years, did a degree in Town Planning and realised it lead to shit jobs.

Just googled QQ... apparently it's a Chinese Instant messenger website. 711million members or some shit.

Depends who you work for obviously but I find it really enjoyable a lot of the time, although I just attended the British Cartographic symposium for a few days last week and it was a total borefest.

I've been watching a lot of episodes of this show The Outer Limits this past week on Hulu. I remember watching it sporadically when I was a kid. It was on in the late 1990's. It's a really good show, though sometimes hit and miss, and definitely not with the production values of Trek. But very enjoyable though.
