Really? Is that what your contract says?

I've never had a job where after a year notice is only one week. After probation, which for me has been either three or six months, it increases to four weeks notice.

My new job is only one month, though I'm not entirely sure. I'm on probation till March so I don't have to give notice until then as far as I know.

Not that I would, love my job.
