I am becoming increasingly intolerant of Northern accents.

As in clearly not the full deck. I ended up talking to him and his mate after my friends left the pub and they persuaded me to stay for a few drinks. Actually, as soon as I started talking to the retarded bloke his mate pissed off and started chatting up the barmaid which was clearly his plan all along.
He introduced himself to me by telling me he was quite retarded which I thought was unusual but also interesting. So I joined him for a couple of pints of ginger and coriander ale (seriously) and after chatting for a while concluded he is indeed retarded but more savvy about life than he gave himself credit for. I think I agreed to join him for the pub quiz next week which would be fucking ridiculous given I had to help him open a packet of crisps because he couldnt do it himself. |

My holiday is now falling nicely into place, I have booked the flights, rental car and 13 of the 14 nights accommodation. Also sent my passport away for renewal yesterday, hope it gets back on time or I'm screwed!

I was thinking of a day trip to either Mostar or Trebinje and maybe another to Shkoder in Albania too, then I could do four countries in one holiday

^ who cares if you scraped it or not, it doesn't matter if you got 70.1% or even 69% as most faculties end up reviewing that final grade and bump it up if it's borderline 1st/2:1. You could have got 95% and it makes no difference.
You can legitimately say you are excellent and got a 1st.

I noticed ads for general labourers and hod carriers for the Epsom station redeveloment. They have been in the gazette for quite a few weeks. Why on earth aren't these jobs getting filled? I would do that if I was out of work. Good way to get in shape. I used to do furniture removals for Pickfords while I was looking for a job after uni and I looked like arnie after a couple of months.
If I were out of work I would seriously consider training to be a carpenter. I like wood. |

Me and also my dad have always said that. I took woodwork in high school and really loved it.

I think its a really appealing job. Incredibly skilled too. I love the way on construction sites once the carpenters get to work putting the wooden frame in place everything appears so quickly. Its like building a three dimensional jigsaw.
