Sparrow Hills, Moscow

Sparrow Hills (Lenin Hills during Soviet times) is most popular observation point in Moscow. Located 80 meters above of opposite bank of Moscow-river it shows an excellent view on historical center. There is also very good natural park at the base of hills.

11. Coming up to observation point. Moscow State University stays just behind it. Sadly there is no observation deck. It's still tallest building in Moscow above of sea level.


12. Ostankino Tower, heating plant chimneys (possibly some old closed factory), building-ship, Hotel Ukraina behind it and White House.

In picture #10 of the panarama, what is that bridge looking structure that's on the right side of the picture? It seems too curved to be an actual bridge but perhaps it's due to the camera (fish lens?).

BTW nice pictures and thanks for posting.

Whats wrong with Sparrow Hills? They're not really hills , and there are no sparrows . Lots of pigeons though .
