AH! WHY won't you SNAP ON!?

Hey everyone.

I am SO annoyed with SketchUp -

Okay, here is my problem.

I am trying to make a building where each floor is basically a rectangular prism, but it has a curved face (see screenshot 1). I want to copy and paste the front curved end, so that I can turn it around, and paste it onto the other side of the prism (as to indicate the front, and back, of a building).

So, I use the rotate feature to turn it around so it's facing the other way. When I try to paste it onto the other side of the structure, it doesn't "snap on" as it normally would, and it is NEVER dead on. (screenshot 2)In the example in the screenshot, I can either go almost touching face to face, or it can go righr THROUGH the face and overlap into the structure - and even then the sides arent even! It's always a tiny, tiny little bit to the left, or a tiny bit to the right,( screenshot 3). Now, I suppose I could just pull the side in screenshot 3 to meet with the other side, but that's sloppy and will leave it uneven.

This is SO INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING, and I would REALLY appreciate some help ASAP!
