Me too, but saying LED makes a whole lot more sense.

Out on a break this afternoon. Saw several pallets of glass pains in the work zone. Perhaps 8 by 2 feet? They were colored a deep blue. I suspect these are going along the roof line?

This reclad is going to make such an impact. I was downtown this past weekend and this will look like Indy got a brand new tower!

I hope the new facade doesn't get damaged in a major storm or tornado.

Is the top going to be raised a couple feet above the roof? The photo looks like it, and so did the sketches.

When is this supposed to be finished? It seems to be taking quite a long time.

Mark, there is currently a legal dispute with the insurance carrier - this is likely holding up construction.

They have been maintaining a pretty constant pace the past 2-3 months when the weather has allowed. They just don't have the slave labor pool that they have cladding the Burj Dubai.

They are pretty much complete with the first section on the northside and have installed 4 floors so far on the second section. They are still taking off material from the 3rd section and installing support beams. They seem to install 1 floor per day in a section. Not fast, but consistent.

Is it bad of me to say that I hope the next wind storms hits First Indiana and Chase Tower?

Not at all. I'll second that.

When we had the earthquakes a couple of weeks ago, I hoped the Villagio would fall down.

Ironically it was those two buildings which caused an increase of wind during that 2005 storm which tore up my building. As for the pace? They have about 2 dozen workers going at it on both sides. I would rather they go slow and do it right. Keep in mind each weld has to be inspected before they can proceed to the next level. I like how the top has those blue fins. It's gonna be sharp when it's done.

I can't wait to see what the new lighting scheme looks like. I hope they have multi-colors on that LED sign and not just "blue." The ligting should make for a much more dominant tower.

Yup. It's looking even better than the renderings. I love how it looks driving down Mass. Ave. It really improves the skyline.

When you stand at the intersection of Vermont, Alambama, and Mass, where the Cultural trail hits, it's awesome. You see the beautiful new trail, brand new pavement, landscaping, bright shiny new tower, hot girls getting Starbucks or drinking at the Old Point, Omalia's getting cleaned up, 3 Mass going up in the distance, the little pocket park, lots of public art, etc. I love that part of the city!

I just wish something, just something would be done with the lower portion. Oh well, I do like the upper part that is being redone, cannot have it all.

The small completed portion of the roofline was lit up tonight. It's interesting, but I'll reserve final judgement until I see the completed product.
