No prob, I grabbed those on my lunch break today.

I was hoping to get a bit closer and more angles, but it was freezing! We'll have to save that for another day. :-)

Great pics bro... Thanks! And yea, is it me or does the glass scheme look awfully familiar to the Market Tower?

I like it!

Flip the image below (south side) to envision the glass pattern for the pictures I took yesterday (northside).

Why are they recladding it in strips, rather than doing all four sides of the building simultaneously as they work their way up?

A few months ago i posted under a different name & alias but brought up an interesting point... Wouldn't it make perfect sense for Mauer or whatever his name is to build a green roof upon the top of the parking structure east of the main tower? I mean this really seems like a perfect oppurtunity for him to do so. Not only will it give him some more positives press but it'll also bring to light his 3 Mass Ave. project which is also having a green roof!

Shall we e-mail and/or write to him?

Last week when it got really cold we were having birds get into the building. They think they were getting through where the openings were at after a weld for new supports.

If you squint you can see them on the NE corner of the building. :-)

So whaddaya say, Mobyhead... think they're just about at the halfway point of the first section? Looks like it to me, give or take a row.

They are hauling ass now. Seems to be a lot more workers on site now as well. They still have much to do on the inside of the building now to remove the old curtain wall. My understanding is that they do that at night. Also SSI has been working like crazy to remove the asbestos.

They are up to the 26th floor NE and 8th floor SW with the new glass this afternoon. Also found out today that they have a March deadline to get the North and South facades completed. Then they will sit down with city officals concerning the Penn Street side. They'll have to close some lanes. The crane has quite the swing when lifting materials up to the 5th floor terrace.

A March deadline? Is that realistic?

When the workers clocked out yesterday there were dozens who left. When they first started last summer there was a crew of maybe 10 or 12. They have installed 6 floors of windows today alone on the NE corner. I think a lot of what will come into play time-wise is removing the old curtain wall from the inside.

I just noticed on my lunch break today that they've installed a few panes on the north facade. Did that start today Mobyhead? Also, it seems that there is a film on some of the north side panes. They looked black. Perhaps just a protective cover I haven't had the privilege of seeing before? Can't wait to see this whole baby redone.

I don't know. Maybe it's on there for transport from wherever they put it together. One of the guards told me last week the crane was hoisting up a panel. When it got to about the 4th floor a gust of wind caused the panel to start spinning. They brough it back down to the ground and quit for the day. They won't work when the wind is a certain speed or higher. You can only imagine how windy it can be 300 feet off the ground. Right now I think weather might be the only thing that will impact the progress.

New Pics

Here are some pics I took while walking past One Indiana Square on Friday. I hadn't noticed before the black (darker) glass on the edge of the northeast corner of the new glass curtain wall. It is very thin on the northeast corner, however if you notice in the pics of the south side it is a much wider strip. Hope you enjoy.

P.S. Notice anything different about the First Indiana Bank Building at 135 N. Pennsylvania?

Northeastside side.

These next couple of shots are of the southside.
