Hmm, now that you mention it, i don't remember any large fountains in Amsterdam - i think there are a few smaller ones dotted around the place, but i've been through my pics and it looks like i didnt take any fountain pics while i was there.

English is widespoken in Amsterdam, most Dutch people speak it fluently, but Dutch is still the main language spoken there. I guess all the English signs are just there to tempt the tourists.

Nice pictures! A typical Amsterdam serie from a foreigner with canal houses, coffeeshops, red light district and wooden shoes. The stereotype of Amsterdam is again once shown on this forum. I like it

Amsterdam rocks

^First you promote your own Amsterdamtopic here. And then you even steal the pictures from this topic to make your Amsterdamtopic first in line again. How rude!

Some people have absolutely no respect for another man's property.

Well, thanks for pointing that out Ramses. I have no problem at all with my pics being used in other threads, but i would expect some sort of reference (not only because they are my pics, but because its the courteous thing to do).

I can't believe its been over a year since i took these pics - time absolutely flies.

I'd love to go back to Amsterdam, i only spent a couple of days there - it had a great atmosphere

This is prolly the city I regret the most of NOT visiting in Europe while my stay in Berlin. I definitely have to visit it next time I go to the old world. It looks very cool and organised at the same time. Nice pics!
