Gwadar coastal highway

(Gwadar is a new port town that is being developed currently to cater for bigger ships and hence more trade for Pakistan, as well as china, Afghanistan and Central Asian republics)

Thanks.. please try to see if you can get hold of some nice pics of the Kaghan/Naran road. I have some but they only show only a small portion of the highway and the focus is elsewhere.

Nice roads. The marking standards on the 2-lane roads seem to be very similar to Israel.

3 questions:

1) is the karachi-gawadar motorway as good as shown in the picture all the way round
2) does motorway police exist on this motorway
3) how long does it take from karachi to get to gawadar

1. the Karachi-gwadar highway is NOT a motorway. A motorway in pakistan is center-divided, fenced and access-controlled. A highway may or may not be center divided but doesnt have the other two.

This (below) is the karachi-gwadar highway

and this (below) is a motorway(islamabad-peshawar)

Theoretically, it should be the same quality since its a recently built road from near karachi all the way to gwadar. But since i haven't travelled myself, i cannot confirm it. But I have never heard that there is any bad portions of it.

2. Since its not a motorway, hence it doesnt have a motorway police.

3. Sorry, i dont have an idea about driving time.
