It looks very ugly from the side. Way too broad.
From some angles it's cool though.
The base should have looked much better than that. Those round windows look especially stupid. It's still getting some points for its original shape and brick-style cladding.

8/10 Truly a Houston icon. Incredibly distinctive. The gothic look on a skyscraper is very original. As great as this tower is I cant think of it fitting in any other place other than Houston.
